SO WONDERFULLY FILTHY AND PERFECT

I’ve listened to 110 books so far this year and this one is BY FAR my favorite! The narration is so so so so good and the story line… uhhhhhhh perfection. Super spicy. I’ve already read book 2 and I’m literally going to die waiting on book 3. Whitney!!! Help us out and get that audiobook ready for us!!

The most toxic book EVER

I don’t even know where to begin. This book was messy. It was all over the place. All of the main characters were trash. This is the most toxic romance novel I’ve ever read. I wanted to throw my headphones so many times in frustration!

This book isn’t for Everyone

I am not usually one to finish books that I don’t vibe with but I really wanted to give this a complete chance but was sorely disappointed. The plot was very predictable and it was just explicit scene after explicit scene which I’m not usually opposed to but it just wasn’t for me. Give it a try and if you love it that’s awesome but for me it was a no.

MFC is annoyingly naive and easily manipulated I don't like that at all

there's some many things that I liked about this book but the manipulation and deception grosses my out. I don't like how much the MFC acts so insecure and allows herself to be controlled and manipulated. I'm not sure if it gets better but I'm close to quitting the series. The fact that sex controls the MFC so much that she forgets important facts and is so desperate for any companionship that she allows herself to be controlled and makes excuses for the men in her life bugs me. I prefer a strong MFC that can think for herself

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As a reader/listener of many dark fantasy, fantasy romance, etc. books, this one was FABULOUS!

I’m a fan of both narrators & as usual, wonderful job! I’ve already preordered book #2! ❤️

Fans of "From Blood and Ash" will devour this book

The spice is strong with this book 🥵 I love Dean's ability to weave a great plot, intriguing characters, and a healthy amount of spice all together in one epic novel. Not gonna lie, in the beginning, I was wondering if it was only about seggs, however, about half way through, I was sucked in by the character development. Great story and the voice actors are 💯

Missing the plot

So this would be my first negative review of an audiobook. The narration was wonderful, however, there is huge hole in the plot and it just doesn't seem to go anywhere. I used a credit and was disappointed.

Flimsy character choices to serve plot

Solid premise and decent world building, this hook has promise. Unfortunately I continued to get pulled from the story by character choices that were unrealistic, hyper reactive, and blatantly done to artificially create conflict to serve a weak plot. Despite dialogue around Raven needing to discover who she is without magic, other people, etc she failed to grow or learn AT ALL. Mystified by the abject idiocy and inconsistency of many of the characters.

Plot? Character Building? World Building? Anything?!

First let me say the voice acting was top notch!! Both male and female actors did a great job. The male voice was slightly more refined (more consistent with certain voices/accents).
The book is awful. No plot, no character building or world building. The characters are infuriating. Flip flopping from page to page. I normally give a series a shot with book two, but this one was such crap I just can’t.

Raunchy

I thought the story really great, but the overly raunchy vibe of the book was overkill. The author mentioned nipples and sex way more than needed. Made the story feel less important and I couldn’t finish.
