About this listen

To keep my family safe and prevent a devastating Clan war, I would do anything—even marry the powerful prince I’ve hidden from all my life.

When the vicious Blood Brotherhood prince I’ve been hidden from all my life finally comes to claim me at my wedding and kills my heinous groom, he gives me one choice—stay here and take my chances with the unknown force raining poisoned arrows on my ceremony or leave with him as his bride.

He’s the man I was raised to fear.

He’s the most ruthless warrior in all of Malhaven.

Few dare to even speak his name.

But with my family’s safety on the line, I choose the unthinkable and agree to become his queen.

As I try to adjust to my new home, the treacherous ways of Clan life, and learn the magic I was forbidden from practicing, I discover that the enemy I once feared might be the only one I can trust–and the sole person I can’t resist.

But the secret he’s keeping might finally accomplish what the assassins failed to do–destroy everyone I love and shatter our world forever.

A Crown of Tears and Treason is book one in the first duology of the A Curse of Silver Secrets and Cruel Shadows series. It’s a slow burn, enemies-to-lovers romantasy where banter is a love language and secrets can kill. The series starts out hot and only gets hotter as the mystery grows.

In the War of the Clans, which side will you choose? Protectorate VS Blood Brotherhood.

5 Stars. Great plot. Well-written side characters. Unique magic system. A twist at the end that I did NOT see coming.

I love Saskia. I was ready to cry in the last chapter.

Wow

You should definitely listen to it! But jeez. Be prepared for the ending! I thought I was, but I wasn’t. It will completely break your heart. I sat staring at the wall for a good amount of time. Downloading book 2 now because I need answers! You should download this one now!

I am… feeling so many feelings right now. I’m gutted while reeling while sad while angry while mournful while hopeful. I can’t even figure out what exactly I’m feeling right now but I promise this is worth the credit and that you will be entertained the entire time

Didn’t see that coming

There will be another book.
The title on the cover didn’t say “Book 1.”
This book has everything.
I almost never write reviews, but this book is not only exquisitely written but also is fresh and original.
And one hell of a cliffhanger!

Oh good,

Loved both POVs, and the ending was…I can’t. The way I was just relaxing listening to what I knew would be a cliffhanger, but in a completely different way, to my eyes literally bulging and me sitting up straight like rewind, what did I just hear?? My heart.

Loved this story!

This was a nope for me. If you're someone that's new to the fantasy genre or are just getting into reading, this probably won't apply to you. For the fantasy O.G.'s and others with thousands of audiobooks in your library, skip this one.
I can't get into a book with huge info-dumps 1-dimensional characters and cliche plot devices to list a few pet peeves.

Over-hyped
