Publisher's summary

Since Peaches woke up in a fantasy world full of monsters and fae, she’s been treated like a piece of tasty human meat. After six years as a blood slave to vampires and the evil Unseelie queen—beholden to all, and master of none—there’s nothing left but a broken shell with a fractured soul. Until a deadly warrior turns up unannounced in her room.

Vampire Haze is the muscle of the Fae Guardians elite cadre of 12. He is a spy, a protector of the weak, hammer and sword, a rigid enforcer of rules. He allows no one close to his heart, lest they see the shame driving him. But when he stumbles across a beguiling woman with sad, desolate eyes, he knows he must help her. She calls to him in more ways than one, igniting a passion neither of them can deny, despite the risks.

The Unseelie queen has other treacherous plans for Haze and Peaches. From a twisted masquerade ball, to a labyrinth filled with goblins, to a hidden prison deep underground, they must work together to survive. The only way out is to trust each other....

Easier said than done when all he wants to do is feast on her blood.

A Labyrinth of Fangs and Thorns is book five in the Fae Guardians series, book two in the Season of the Vampire.

Love love the Fae Guardian Series

I love the way that you have a mate, matching markings that it's well blessed and only some humans have a gift. Love the Guardians and how they are chosen.

The Mountain meets the mouse, and melts!

Elphyne, a complex, lush world that's enthralled me from the start! I've loved every dive into it, especially when the previous characters make cameos in subsequent books! This particular book is 5th in the Fae Guardians series, and 2nd in the Season of the Vampire trilogy.

Elphyne's an unusual world & premise: a medieval dystopian world filled with magic, fae shifters, vampires, elves, ogres, trolls, goblins, and unfathomable danger, healed from a nuclear holocaust with magic, where plastics and metal are outlawed almost everywhere.

The newest Fae Guardian, Haze, is one of my book boyfriends, and was introduced way back in The Longing of Lone Wolves, book 1 of the entire series.

And y'all, good gravy! I could sop Haze's story up with a biscuit... getting EVERY DROP! I like big & brawny with a heart of gold... and with Haze, that's him all over. 7' tall, one of the Vampire Guardians, he's the blend of fae, human, and vampire bat... complete with full bat wings that can appear and disappear at will. Haze, the muscle of the Cadre, is shielding not only a very tender & protective heart, but a shameful secret that's haunted him his whole adult life. He is on an Order mission when he encounters his fated mate Peaches, the geologist. Whereas most of Lana's Mh are strong and assured, Peaches is meeker & suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. A former geologist from our time, used and abused for her potent mana-imbued blood, her character really changes for the better, and I loved how Haze supported her every step of the way.
When Maebh steps in during Haze's attempted rescue, things go from bad, to weird, to worse.
From a hedonistic masquerade ball, loads of danger, and impossible escape plan, with nods to the movie Labrynth & fun-loving sadistic goblins & an underground labrynth, then on to plenty of thrills, chills, and a couple of spicy sessions that will make your toes curl, this book has all sorts of excitement.
The new Guardians introduced are intriguing, and I can't wait for their stories, too, especially River's, the crow shifter.
If you haven't read the entire series,  you should give it a try... they've gotten better with each book!
Oh, and at the end, you'll find a link to the extra spicy epilogue chapter, complete with NSFW portrait of Haze, that's frankly a bit scary to me, lol
