Publisher's summary

Success becomes dangerously seductive for this Wall Street broker in a dizzying thriller by the author of the Amazon Charts best-seller Dead Certain.

Will Matthews came to Wall Street with hopes and dreams of hitting it big. But things have not been going as expected. He’s on the verge of being fired when he meets the devilishly mysterious and fabulously wealthy Sam Abaddon.

Winning Sam’s business answers Will’s prayers, catapulting the young stockbroker into the privileged world of money and luxury. Not only that, but Will also has met his dream girl, ambitious attorney Gwen Lipton.

All at once, it seems as if Will’s life couldn’t get any better.

And it doesn’t.

When Will witnesses a shocking act of violence, his charmed new existence is revealed to be a waking nightmare as the truth about his benefactor - and his own complicity in criminal conduct - becomes devastatingly clear. As the noose draws tighter, Will faces an impossible choice: feast upon the poisonous fruit of his bloody business or defy his patron and face dire consequences.

Then again, maybe there’s a third option....

Cool Deal

Take advantage of this $2.95 daily deal. Nice to find my Wish List novel on the Daily deal and two great reviews from my fave reviewers Shelly and Wayne to boot. I too am a fan of narrator Will Damron, my first listen was Tiffany Snow’s Kade’s Turn, a romance mystery. Mr Damron knocked it out of the park with his read. So well done, that I went looking for more of his work.
If you liked the Lincoln Lawyer, then this book is for you.

Keeps your interest

The story hooks reader quickly. Moves at a good pace. The ending in not a huge surprise, though.

Always changing

(As posted in GoodReads.)
What a surprisingly gripping book, full of lawyers, bankers, and terrorists! And the narration was admirable. As soon as the reader had a grasp on the situation, the situation changed completely. And the ending was satisfying and unexpected!

Best Adam Mitzner audio book, by far.

Six of seven Adam Mitzner novels are in my Audible library and I have written reviews of each. Some like A Conflict of Interest are simply horrid novels that should never have been published. A Case of Redemption is an excellent novel with awful narration. Losing Faith is a pretty good novel with OK narration. For the first time with a Mitzner audio book A MATTER OF WILL is an outstanding novel with equally outstanding narration. I hope that Mitzner can keep up that good work and that Audible will continue using Will Damron to narrate his novels. Highly recommended!

Unbelievable!

This novel may be a mystery wrapped up in a romance novel. Or perhaps vice versa. Will the protagonist can’t be as stupid as he seems to be to the reader, although not to his assorted Colleagues. He continues to be unable to see what is happening to him despite the fact that he is cast as a highfalutin money manager. Likewise his girlfriend, Gwen, is equally as naïve despite the fact that she is a lawyer I read the whole thing but I kept looking at the wall and saying, “Oh c’mon!” Actually I didn’t read this I listened to it and the narrator was terrific - which might be the reason I continued to listen.

Interesting, Funny, Adventurous

I liked this book, I liked the main character, and the Sam mystery kept the book going for me. I dont know if I would have liked it as much if I wasn't painting the house, because some parts were a little cheesy, but it was a great way to pass the time.

A Matter of Will

It aggravates me when characters are stupid. Why would a Wealth Manager not question a virtual stranger sending him 6 Million as a first deposit, or buy him a bespoke Tux? Right out of the gate anyone would know the stranger was laundering money, but NOT our "hero". However, the women in the book were all the smart ones and they helped the hero dig his way out of his self created mess. There is a little sub- plot about a murder trial that actually interrupts the flow of this book Will Damron is a great narrator and made this audiobook better than it actually was. All in all iit was enjoyable.
