About this listen
Silly servant girl, no one cares about saving the villain.
Blaise wasn't supposed to be the villain, but now Nox is gone, and Blaise will stop at nothing to get him back—even if that means betraying everyone she holds dear.
Meanwhile, Asha can't shake the feeling that Az is closing in on her. After all, he's been two steps ahead of her and Kiran from the beginning. All she can do is hope he stays too focused on opening the Rip to learn the truth: Az is the true heir to the throne.
Between her nightmares, Ellie's secret, and the news that Piper has been taken captive by Queen Abra, Asha isn't sure she can handle much else. Especially not an enemy in their midst.
Realms collide and stories converge in this second part of the epic two-part finale to The Severed Realms series.

Story
Everything about my life is a lie. As a hidden twin princess, born second, I have only one purpose―to sacrifice my life for my sister if death comes for her. I’ve been living under the guise of a poor, obscure girl of no standing, slipping into the palace and into the role of the true princess when danger is present. Now the queen is dead and the ageless King Eidolon has sent my sister a gift―an eerily familiar gift―and a proposal to wed. I don’t trust him, so I do what I was born to do and secretly take her place on the eve of the coronation.

For one night, I willingly put myself in danger, picking a stranger to lose myself in before I begin my life of servitude to the crown as a member of the King's Guard. To most, Kal Anderson is a villain. Harbinger of death, keeper of souls, frequenter of nightmares. Doctor Death. Hades incarnate. They say he stole me. Usurped my fiancé and filled the cracks in my heart with empty promises. Imprinted his crimson fingerprints on my psyche and tried to set me free. They’re not wrong, per se. Except it was my choice to stay.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
this is one of the best ending to a series ever.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
It's great if you like heroines who fall in love with torturers & serial killers simply because the guys are really attractive, tons of lucky breaks and things working out at the last minute (no matter how DUMB the decisions are by the heroes and heroines), and endings that have the saccharine ride off into the perfect sunset of a Hallmark movie.
Note to author: just having the characters tell each other that it's likely someone is going to die isn't enough to create tension.
Terrible ending to a good series
