About this listen

Just as donut-shop manager and secret witch Meg Walton thinks her sleuthing days are finally behind her, another murder rocks her coastal, Northern California hometown of Enchanted Bay.

The case strikes especially close to home when Meg finds out the victim is one of her mother's close friends, Hope Riddle. When the local police rule that Hope's death is a burglary gone bad, Meg sets out to prove them wrong and bring Hope's real killer to justice - with the help of a few good spells.

Great Cozy Fun Mystery

Meg Walton a witch that is known only to the family, at her mother's wishes. She owns a donut shop in Enchanted Bay. Detective Conner Smith is her detective boyfriend and shr will do anything to keep him safe, even if she has to let it out she is a witch. She has a talking cat. I love the believable characters that are interesting and likable . The narration maintains your interest. The focus is on her Mom even in this book. She finds the murderer, but you won't guess who it is till the end of the book and all the pieces come together. We enjoyed this book.

The talking cat keeps talking

Another cozy mystery with the murder that the cops are trying to solve but it is Penelope the cat whose constantly rumbling stomach solves the case.
