Publisher's summary

If you like clean and funny cozy mysteries by authors such as Hope Callaghan, AR Winters, Ivy Dawson, Cee Cee James, and others, then you will love Patricia Fisher!

As the Aurelia nears Athens, a new member of the crew is found dead in his cabin. Next to a gun and slumped over a suicide note, it appears tragic but unsuspicious. However, he’s the captain’s nephew Julian, onboard for only six days, and something about the suicide note makes Patricia’s nose twitch.

With disobedient dog Anna, loyal butler Jermaine, and all her friends in support, your favorite amateur sleuth soon uncovers a web of lies and deceit in the bursary. There’s a mystery to solve, alright, but a second body muddies the water.

Is there more than one killer? Had Julian uncovered something that made him a target?

In her toughest challenge yet, it will be her dachshund that provides the vital clue, but can Patricia solve the case before the killer escapes?

This series of books follows Patricia Fisher, a 50-something woman from England, as she flees her unfulfilling marriage and becomes the person she always should have been. They are light-hearted, fast-paced, and unlike any other cozy mysteries you have ever listened to. There is no bad language, sex, or graphic descriptions of violence.

A Sleuth and Her Dachshund in Athens by Steve Higgs is another great cozy who-done-it mystery! Patricia and her friends on board the cruise ship are wonderfully fun and energetic. The narration by Deryn Oliver is outstanding! She truly brings the story to life!

Got me hooked

This is book 8 in the Patricia Fisher mysteries. I listened to this before the previous seven books. Now I have to start at the beginning to see how this story came about. Patricia and her cohorts must solve the murder of the Captain's nephew and figure out who the James Bond like person is. A very enjoyable mystery!

A Sleuth and Her Dachshund in Athens

Poor Patricia Fisher! She is once again up the her eyes in intrigue and murder. This time the victim of the nephew of the ship's Captain. Trying not to get involved doesn't seem to be working so now she's looking for a murderer and hoping her small dog will be ok.
Deryn Oliver brings the characters the life and her accent is remarkable!!
Fantastic audio and story

Good one

This was not my favourite so far but just because of the subject matter—totally a personal preference thing. Writing was just as good as any of the others. Characters were great, I love continuing to see them.

Narrator was good.

Who Done It Cozy Mystery

This book is a well written cozy murder mystery with intricate twist and turns. The characters are quirky and quite believable with a little twist of humor. I can't wait to read more from Steve Higgs as I found this book to be fun, intriguing and full of action and suspense. I received this book for free at my request. This is my honest unbiased review.

Patricia Puts Greece on Notice

Deryn Oliver marvelously details Patricia’s escapades in Athens as she searches for the killer of Alastair’s nephew, Julian, who was killed when he uncovered skullduggery in the bursar’s office. Nearly five hours of heart-stopping action by Britain’s premier amateur detective chronicled by an energetic narrator.

Terrible Naration

This was not one of my favorites from this series, but I believe the narration is what I disliked the most more so than the story. The narrator did not fill the shoes of Patricia Fischer, and the many voices of the other characters were hard to distinguish because they all sounded the same. The long pauses between sentences made it awkward also and the narrator made Patricia sound snobbish, which is anything but her character.
It’s a shame because the Patricia Fischer series is so good. I wish the same narrator could be used for all the books in the series.
I still absolutely love this series and can’t wait to start the next book!

I normally don't like what I call chick flick who done it's and this book didn't change that.
