What happens when you live longer than you wanted to?

Parvin Blackwater wanted to die, but now she's being called to be a leader. The only problem is no one wants to follow.

The Council uses Jude's Clock-matching invention to force "new-and-improved" Clocks on the public. Those who can't afford one are packed into boxcars like cattle and used for the Council's purposes.

Parvin and Hawke find themselves on a cargo ship of Radicals headed out to sea. What will the Council do to them? And why are people suddenly dying before their Clocks have zeroed-out?

My fave book in the series; so many intense moments that had my heart pounding and kept me up way past a reasonable hour. If you didn't like the first book in this series, definitely give this one a try because it is SO GOOD! One of my favorites!!! I cried when it was over and couldn't wait to start the next one! Absolutely incredible!

Lots of journeys in this novel. As the dystopian government grows more tyrannical, they seek more control through the clocks. Parvin becomes the leader. She wanted to be in the first book, but as always interpreting one’s path can be tricky. If you like people who banned together for purpose and truth, even when the truth is difficult and the way forward is unclear, it is likely you will enjoy this story.

I disliked the book and wish I could return it. See my review on the first book in the series.

It got more ridiculus
