About this listen

Lizzie Petrie thought she’d gotten her life under control, but everything seems to be unravelling right before her eyes.

As COVID-19 starts to recede, Lizzie has new battles to fight in epic Lizzie fashion.

Whether it involves getting the twins ready for kindergarten, the threat to the planet, or starting a new media company, Lizzie is being pulled in so many directions she doesn’t know which way is up.

There’s one fear in particular that’s threatening to upend her world as she knows it.

Is Lizzie strong enough to conquer the A-word, or will it be the thing that wrecks her grasp on reality?

A Woman Unhinged is the hilarious and heartfelt ninth installment of A Woman Lost, a series of contemporary lesbian romances. If you like quirky characters, complicated family dynamics, and well-crafted prose, then you’ll love following Lizzie’s continuing saga.

Phenomenal Series

Just when I think Lizzie and Sarah’s story can’t get any better, it does. I was pleasantly surprised and incredibly moved by this install of A Women Lost series. Please keep them coming.

Masterpiece

Lizzie Petrie is dealing with a lot of life issues. Not the least of which is autism and how it affects her family. This is a fantastic story of surviving Covid and parenting. The impact of growing up with an abusive parent is revealed with the revelation of a five year plan of survival. A heartbreaking and heartwarming story of family and what it means.

Good but not like before.

I gave this book 5 stars, but the fact is that the story was not as good as previous books on this series. It is important to talk about autism, it is good to talk about the pandemic, but more important is to talk about Lizi’s relations with her father, and I would have liked to listen to more about that, not only at the end.
I am not sure I will continue following this series. I like the writing and narration was excellent.

Disappointed in Lizzie’s character change

I absolutely love the entire series of these books. However, I have been disappointed in Lizzie’s change of character. In book 8 and 9 she has become more childish. I understand she has realized her new medical problem and having difficulty adjusting to it, but I feel bad for Sara. Sara has been having to act more like a mother figure and care giver instead of her wife which is very disappointing and annoying. I miss the old Lizzie!! Please if there is another book let her act more like a 40 year old instead of a Whiny child. The narrators voice is amazing! The story line is perfect. Just please let Lizzie grow up and act her age! I’m feel so exhausted for Sara.
