About this listen

When it comes to Máax, the God of Truth who refuses to follow the rules, there's more to him than meets the eye. Literally. Because Maáx is invisible! Which is probably why, after seventy-thousand years, he's still unable to find a mate.

Ashli Rosewood was never meant to die. In fact, her death might be the very reason the gods are now faced with stopping that pesky doomsday right around the corner. If only there was a way to undo the past.

Cue Máax. Seven feet of divine masculinity and the unruly god charged with saving Ashli. With a little help from an ancient Mayan tablet, Máax will travel back in time and set things right.

Easy, right?

Wrong.

Because Máax has one teensy challenge. He's invisible. And every time this impatient, powerful deity gets anywhere near Ashli, he spooks her right into harm's way. Meaning... she dies, and he has to start all over again.

Cliff, banana peel, runaway storage container filled with Belgian chocolates, bee sting, the list goes on and on. Does the Universe have it out for this girl? Sure seems that way. But why? And what will Máax do when he begins to suspect that not only is Ashli the key to stopping the apocalypse, but she may be "the one" he's been waiting seventy-thousand years for.

How will he save the one woman the Universe insists on killing and who wants nothing to do with him?

Fantastic! Want More~

This series is fantastic and I can't wait to listen to more books by Mimi! I LOVE Helen Wick too.. her narration is absolute perfection! The only thing I have to say that needs to change is the fact that Kinich's voice was totally different than his book.. Where did this southern twang come from?

3.5 STARS.. GODLY MAYHEM & FUNNY SNAPPY DIALOGUE

As the Accidentally series draws to a close, and we have to say a fond farewell to some much loved characters, all of Cimil's (the Goddess of the Underworld) plans are tested and eventually broken. Maax is sent back in time to make sure Ashli, the person who is going to save the world from the foretold Apocalypse, keeps safe but not only does he fall for her, but death is personally stalking her.

The main thing with MP's books is the very snappy dialogue and quick wit which is lol funny and entertaining then there is the romance but in this book it's difficult because Maax is invisible. Unfortunately I didn't really feel the connection or romance because, as hard as he was trying to win Ashli's love, she was always annoyed, angry at him or just confused. But it was all nicely tied together in the end as the storyline came to its eventual climactic conclusion and an imposter was revealed, we catch up with all the characters from previous books, punishments are dished out to the guilty and Maax and Ashli get their HEA ending.

Worth a credit? This is a light and funny supernatural listen with a very loveable Hero so if you're in the mood for this type of listen, or you've been following the series, then, IMHO, this is a creditworthy listen.
