About this listen

Bestselling authors Bruno and Castle conclude the Black Badge series with this culmination of supernatural powers and old foes in an epic finale stretching from the Wild West to the nation’s capital!

On the run and out of time …

Everything changed back in Crescent City when Crowley made his choice to stand up to his angelic handler Shargrafein. It was either her or Rosa, and the choice was clear. Now, there’s no going back.

Something about Rosa has everyone scrambling—a hidden power. It’s up to Crowley to bring her back to the land of the living and discover exactly what she is. Only then might they have a chance against the forces of Heaven and Hell, both of whom want her for their own devices.

So what if that makes him a traitor to the White Throne? They kept the truth about her from him. Made him a pawn in their endless war.

But those above and below aren’t the only ones after Crowley and Rosa. An old rival has resurfaced and he’s out for vengeance, no matter what it takes.

If they hope to evade capture, Crowley will need to trust old friends and allies. And trust doesn’t come easy to a man shot to death by his own boss.

The story has only gotten a lot better. The performance is as good as ever. Idk if we’ll get another but I sure as heck want one.

Favorite so far!

I have been on this roller coaster, since the beginning. I guess the only reason why I didn’t give the story the full 5 stars was because of the ending. It didn’t have to be a happy one for James but dam couldn’t he have ended up somewhere else after all that. I guess I’ll have to wait another 2 years if there is a chance of another book.

It was a great run!

I loved every minute of this book. It’s so easy to hear this book like watching a good western on tv. This is the second book of course which it was easy to remember what went on in the first book whenever they reflected back to it in this book. The performance was so easy to see as the narrative read the story and performance and change of voices was flawless. Great entertainment.

I really loved the first two books in the series, so I was very excited to get book three. It didn't let me down. It has the mythical gods, werewolves, and other supernatural aspects and actions that I loved from the other two books. Love this series. Good narration.

good addition to the series!

I don’t want to spoil it but I have to put something here so, Arthur rode off on a unicorn to Tahiti where he, Mary, and Rosa all lived happily ever after in a bundle of joy with his horse and nothing bad ever happened ever.

Great story overall but the ending left me empty.

I’ve enjoyed the series with its mix of western and mythology. It’s also great to have Mr Clark narrate the series since I’m a big Red Dead Redemption fan.

Another great book!

Final book reviews are always tough because I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't read it yet. So, I'll say only this: the story excellently wraps up this Weird-Western tale's many threads. Jaime and Rhett really know how to spin block-buster style yarns. Roger Clark's narration is superb. I'm looking forward to more from the authors. Thanks so much for the fun ride, gentlemen.
