About this listen

A new Isekai LitRPG adventure from KamikazePotato, bestselling author of An Outcast in Another World.

Sucked into a new realm. Granted a unique power. He can reshape the world.

Penniless, luckless, and aimless, Adam is an art student recovering from a deep betrayal. He isn't even given the chance to lick his wounds before a mysterious force pulls him into a painting–and into a new, fantastical world.

Adam doesn't mind much. He wasn't particularly fond of his old world anyway. Maybe this could be the fresh start he needs.

Yet, nothing improves. Adam is attacked by monsters, imprisoned by guardsmen, and pressed into service by the resident nobility. Even here, he's taken advantage of. Even here, he's still powerless.

Well...not entirely powerless. Upon first entering these lands, he gained a strange ability with the potential to turn the entire world into a canvas he can control. Deciding to take matters into his own hands, the fates of millions are sealed when Adam asks the local Lord one simple question:

"May I paint your portrait?"

Experience this brand new Isekai LitRPG adventure from KamikazePotato, the bestselling author of An Outcast in Another World, together with Rafael Kalleen.

About the Series: Join Adam in this weak-to-strong progression fantasy where victories are difficult but earned. The plot has consistent forward momentum, and the story's cast of characters is fully fleshed-out, each with their own struggles. Fight scenes are high-octane brawls that involve creative applications of Adam's abilities.

Great start!

Interesting idea. I envisioned something very different from what I got. The skill was a lot more complex and slower acting than I thought it would be. The setting involved a lot of politics which was a nice change or pace. The narration was really good.

Great Story

I enjoyed listening to the story. It seemed like a great story. It did a great job at presenting an interesting story that did not fall into the normal tropes that most fantasy type stories fall into.

Ohhhh! Myyy! Soooooooo! Interesting! And I loved it!

Ohhhh! Myyy! That was Interesting! Might I say it was som'min else! I've never run into it's ilk before! But I loved it! And wouldn't you expect that someone that had the balls to go by the moniker KamikazePotato would come up with this novel storyline... not only surprising and new but with kinda different sorta magic system. And one that really works. Yeah, there's still a core and mana, but to level up you hafta spend money 💰 the more you spend the stronger you get. And we're not talkin about a few bucks, oh no, more like thousands, tens of thousands.
And this is Adam's story, the starving art student trying to balance his tuition fees and cost of living. If only he'd won the contest with his painting 😪 losing to Eric a supposed friend... well it was a hard punch to the gut. Since he knew sleep wasn't gonna happen he ended up at a shop looking at their gallery again. To his amazement he spotted a new painting, it was magical and to no one's surprise it sucked him into the World of Paint.
And what Adam does next is for you to find out when you grab the audiobook! Because Wayne Mitchell is worth listening to.

Boring

I really tried to like this but the story is very boring. I fell asleep several times listening to this. MC is stale nothing about him to latch on to root for. I like the premise and it has a lot of promise but the MCs ability is too easily countered and the use of any ability in the story is limited. This is more a trapped in another world than an isekai.

At a lot of times during listening my mind wandered and when I focused back onto the book I didn’t miss anything. World building ? Some. Character building? Lacking.
