Story
I wrote this mnemonic guide as an audiobook first to help you remember pharmacology drug names and principles quickly. While in the classroom your professors might say memorization doesn't matter, but you can't bring outside material to the board exam, so for this test, you do need to work on memory training. You already know the consequences of failing a class or board exam, so let's make sure that doesn't happen by getting pharmacology organized in your head once and for all.

Little more than 100 years ago, maps of the world still boasted white space: places where no human had ever trod. Within a few short decades the most hostile of the world's environments had all been conquered. Likewise, in the 20th century, medicine transformed human life. Doctors took what was routinely fatal and made it survivable. As modernity brought us ever more into different kinds of extremes, doctors pushed the bounds of medical advances and human endurance. Extreme exploration challenged the body in ways that only the vanguard of science could answer.

The author of the highly acclaimed Overdiagnosed describes seven widespread assumptions that encourage excessive, often ineffective, and sometimes harmful medical care. But the central problem is that too much medical care has too little value.

Not enough details
This was narrated by someone who was not able to pronounce all the medical terminology. Also after listening to the book twice, it was not enough to pass the ACLS test. Very disappointing. It was just a good review for bls.

NOT the AHA course!
This didn’t prepare me for taking the AHA ACLS class. There were a couple of glaringly obvious mistakes also.
Basically useless.

Not worth the read
I used my credit for a review on ACLS before my recertification. I was disappointed to find out how basic the information was. More BLS than ACLS. Made me want my credit back.

horribly incomplete and occasionally incorrect
I am an RN and an ACLS provider and have been for many years. I thought listening to this audiobook would be a nice way of keeping fresh. however there is very little useful information included in this audiobook and most horribly they refer to the ABCs of resuscitation, focusing on airway first, completely ignoring the American Heart association's recommendations that circulation (CAB) be the primary focus of resuscitation attempt. Even though it was inexpensive I would not waste a few dollars on it and feel disturbed that it was written by a physician.
