About this listen

She’s hunting an assassin. A powerful chieftain's acquaintance could be to her advantage. If she can outwit his dark secret and survive his blade....

Etain thought her dad’s stories of the Alamir as fairy tales, anecdotes about supernatural humans created to pacify the wild imaginings of a child. She never considered them an education much less preparation for her destiny.

Until a red-eyed assassin murders her family.

Scared and alone, she’s taken in by a small clan and learns their warrior ways. Moving up the ranks quickly, Etain soon realizes it will take more than a sword and her newfound powers to track down the demon.

A perilous encounter with the warrior chieftain, Lord Darknight, could be a life-changer or the death of her.

Alamir is the first novel in the action-packed Blood of Kaos Series. If you like not-so-perfect protagonists, action, and adventure, you’ll love Nesa Miller’s dark fantasy series.

Alamir: Blood of Kaos is the first book of the Blood of Kaos by Nesa Miller. This book is the first book I have read b Ms. Miller but definitely won’t be the last. This story was an amazing and original story of light and dark. Etain and Adar are fantastic characters the grow as the story moves along. I can’t wait to listen/read the second book in this series.
This narrator is Ashley Nicole Stevens is a new to me narrator also. I enjoyed her tone and speed of the reading. She really brought the characters to life. I highly recommend this book.

I liked the plot but the narrators voice gets really high and annoying constantly every other sentence.

This book was great! It is my first book by this Author and also my first book by this Narrator. I thought this book was attention grabbing and I was excited to see where the story would go. Etain is our main charcter and she is an interesting one. She is strong and determined and you can't help but like her. The author did an awesome job at keeping the story going and I enjoyed that this had some originality to it because I've never listened to anything like it. I will say it took a while for me to get use too the narrator. She had a very high voice at times and it threw me off a bit but it didn't take away from the story and I still liked it a lot. I am looking forward to listing to more of this authors stories and I would recommend this to a friend!
Happy Listening!

Such An Interesting Story

4 Stars
Alamir, Blood of Kaos is the first Book is this new series and it is a great start, Etain is a very powerful woman who came into her power in a bloody and messy way. She is constantly trying to decide who she is able to trust and who is out to get her. While Miller does an impressive job of weaving a tale full of descriptive action scenes and well-developed characters, the strongest point of this story is the supporting characters such as Spirit and Inferno. These characters give color and depth of the story that would otherwise be two dimensional.

Miller is an amazing author who impresses me with her ability to take characters from pages into reality. I am excited for book two.

A personal note on the narrator. As a nurse in a past life, I cannot stand when a character nurse is portrayed as less than, snotty, stuck up or uneducated. While unintentional, this is how I perceived the narration on one particular passage in this book. It only happened once, but it stuck with me throughout the book.

Interesting Story, a great start to a good series

The characters are very dramatic and over-the-top, almost bringing fanfiction to mind. The main story is VERY focused on sex and romance, to the point that it pushes the fantasy, drama, and adventure elements to the side often. As for the writing, there are quite a few cliches and repetitive choices, while the original and creative elements can be more than a bit confusing.

However, there's still something charming about the story. I mean, I finished it, after all. I suppose you'll enjoy it, if you're a fan of edgy, sexy demons from another dimension?

The narrator does a good job. Juggling multiple real and imagined accents can't be easy. And giving this story the intensity and emotion (sometimes melodrama) it needs is a feat in itself.

Odd and flawed

Miller is a fantastic talent and I loved this book. I really enjoyed listening to the book I had become found of and found that it opened up the world even more immediately to my senses. I loved this book and enjoyed listening to the audio performance. Recommend both highly.

This was my first book by Nesa Miller. The beginning of this book had me slightly confused but it ended up working out. Our lead female character is Etain, a human turned Alamir. Our main male character in my opinion is Dar- Lord Darknight. There are multiple players in this story and they’re all a great supporting cast. This story was well written and a unique take on lovers who have a hard time finding their time to be together. It was a good story and I look forward to the next book.

Alamir (Blood of Kaos Series Book 1) AUDIBLE BOOK

Alamir (Blood of Kaos Series Book 1) by Nesa Miller, was an epic love story, epic action and adventure story and an epic save the world story. So much going on in this story. Mystery, intrigue, revenge, I am sure I’ve forgotten some. It’s a little difficult to pin this story down to a genre as it sounds like elements of several. Fantasy, science fiction, horror and more. The characters are fully fleshed, and the world is intricately constructed. The love story between Etain and Dar has all the tension of a tightly wound spring. A very creative, keep you on your toes story.

A lot going on here.
