About this listen

The Alexandre Dumas Collection, with its deep roots in French history, sheds light on the innate sense of honor, duty, responsibility, and love felt by those who lived during the time. In the first story, The Count of Monte Cristo, you will be drawn into the adventures that a formerly imprisoned sailor endures in search of fortune and revenge, only to find mercy, forgiveness, and love at the end of his journey.

The Three Musketeers, the second story, is rife with friendship, loyalty, duels for honor, and position. Ultimately, the story’s protagonist is faced with the harsh reality of the high cost of that which he so laboriously and painstakingly sought after. Listen as the author takes you on a historical journey to a time when men fought to the death for what they believed in, when executions were a public event, and jewels were traded for secrets!

Join us for a reading of The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers, and where you will be enchanted by the adventure, danger, and vengeance that these two tales depict. The Alexandre Dumas Collection is certainly worthy of its world-renowned status as historical fiction and "keep you on the edge of your seat" adventures.

Adventure, Hope, Justice and Revenge!

The Count of Monte Cristo is perhaps my favorite story of all time! I love the depth of this novel and I am a sucker for prison escape stories. I just acquired this audiobook for my collection and couldn't be more satisfied. I have yet to read or listen to "The Three Musketeers" but I am eager to get to it. These package deals are a great value! The production quality is superb and I really enjoy the narration. 10/10 would recommend this!

Alexandre Dumas Collection is a note to the classics. The Three Musketeers is a testament to loyalty, friendship and brotherhood. These stories are as relevant now as they were over a hundred years ago. This is a true classic listen.

Classic adventures brought to life brilliantly!

Just spent the last few weeks completely immersed in these timeless French classics. The narrator absolutely nails all the different characters (and there are tons!), making the complex plots of revenge, honor, and friendship so easy to follow and enjoy. If you're intimidated by reading these classics in book form, the audiobook version is THE way to go - I couldn't put down my phone all day long just to hear what happens next in Monte Cristo's revenge plot or the Musketeers' latest adventure!

Really good collection!

This collection definitely did not disappoint! I was really impressed with the length as it gave me something good I could listen to at work and on my commute. I particularly liked the 3 Musketeers as this is a classic but I never knew all of the ins and outs of just how good this book was until now.

really fun to listen to

Having read the Alexandre Dumas Collection, I feel exorbitantly exhilarated and nostalgically sad. These stories removed me to another period and other geography. I was lost amongst his most charismatic engravings of character's exploits; sometimes their triumphs, or some weak defeats, as if from my own life. But honor, friendship, and some means of redemption are deep beneath my heart. While some parts did feel a little dated, I was surprised by how many of the human struggles still hit pretty hard today. The historical details really popped, placing the stories in my imagination well and truly. All in all, I think this collection is worth revisiting, even if you think you already know the stories.

Epic Escapes and Sword Fights

I picked up The Alexandre Dumas Collection for the classic adventure but stayed for the absolute thrill ride! The Count of Monte Cristo pulls you into this dark, intense journey of revenge and redemption with so many twists, it's practically a maze. Then you've got The Three Musketeers—a total swashbuckling adventure where friendship and loyalty are tested at every turn. Dumas doesn’t hold back, and both stories kept me glued. If you’re into stories of revenge, epic duels, and brotherhood, this collection is a must!

Exciting Ride with Alexandre Dumas

Jumping into the "Alexandre Dumas Collection," which includes "The Count of Monte Cristo" and "The Three Musketeers," was a lot of fun. In "The Count of Monte Cristo," I got hooked on the story of a sailor who goes from being wronged to seeking revenge but ultimately learns about mercy and love along the way. Dumas really knows how to keep you on your toes with twists and turns that make you think.

Then there’s "The Three Musketeers," which is all about friendship, loyalty, and epic duels. The characters face some tough choices about what they’re willing to fight for, and it made me reflect on the things we chase in life. Both stories are packed with adventure and excitement, proving why Dumas is such a classic author. If you're into thrilling tales with deep themes, the "Alexandre Dumas Collection" is definitely worth picking up!

Great audiobook on these classic stories

I enjoyed this audiobook with engaging narration on these classic stories. Brings a lot of good memories and felt like I was right there. I did notice that some of the pronunciations were off at times but it’s still highly enjoyable.
