Meeting during senior week on the day of their birthdays was pure coincidence.
It was supposed to be nothing more for Lola Larson and TJ Kingston than three days of fake dating before going back to their everyday lives. Not thinking they will see each other again, they part ways without getting each other's last names or phone numbers.
Two years later, they're in college, where they meet again. However, their priorities are different from the last time they saw each other.
TJ wants nothing more than to enter the draft and play for the NBA. It's all he's worked hard for and has made sure that nothing and no one hinders him from achieving his dream. That is until he sees Lola again, and realizes that basketball is no longer his sole priority when he finds out he has a kid.

Storyline
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
Lola and TJ meet at a senior year trip party in Miami. Flirting over Peach juice, these two have sparks flying. TJ jokes about never having a girlfriend before, so he asks Lola to be his girlfriend for the next couple days. They have adorable dates and really get to know each other.
Fast forward a couple years and they’re both in college. TJ is the big basketball player on campus and all the girls want him. Lola just started at UNC and is wanting to get her degree in Art. She also has a son. TJ’s son. When they run into each other at TJ’s house while she’s doing a group project, they’re both shocked to see each other. Lola had no clue how to contact TJ and she had no clue he played basketball. When she finally tells TJ he’s mad. He thinks she’s tricking him. He definitely grovels and makes up for it. The relationship he has with his son, Phoenix is so cute!

One of my favorite books of all time !
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
This book is a 𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔.
After the 60% mark i started to fast forward in the audio and did not properly finished it.
Its just sweet moment after sweet moment and TJ worshiping Lola.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧?
𝑹𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒂 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
𝑪𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒔 𝑴𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅 ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
They are 𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒛𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒕, but i feel that a duet narration would have enhanced the experience.
The emotion both narrators put in their narration is 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒗𝒆.

𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞? Yes, there is spice. I personally fast forward on those scenes, so there is no feedback i can provide.

𝐖𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐢 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧? No, but not because the book is not good. Its just i don't want kids or a golden retriever boyfriend. 𝑰𝒕 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒎𝒆.
𝑰 𝒅𝒐 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒕 𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒊𝒕, i am glad i did.

𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐢 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠? Yes, i fast forward to the end and i loved it.
