About this listen

Darren Shan, Vampire Prince and "vampaneze" killer, faces his worst nightmare yet - school. But homework is the least of Darren's problems. Bodies are piling up, time is running out, and the past is catching up with the hunters fast. Darren must forge new alliances and try to unravel the mystery behind the malevolent forces that have been set in motion against him.

In this second part of the Hunters trilogy, the stakes are raised and the pace quickens to keep listeners on the edge of their seats.

felt like he just had to finish a book or tie up enough of the foreshadow he could.

Vampires and vampernese can smell each other when they are close. Having Steve end up half vampernese when he spent multiple days in the company of the two champions is so lame, and setting up these tired troupes Darin shan I am disappointed in you. Then on top you worked in all the worst ones, the predictable prisoner exchange Darin making mistake after mistake because of Debbie what a lame ending to what has been a fine series so far. Then the vampernese breaking all of Mr tiny's rules just to manufacture "a desperate cliff hanger ending" I'm sure Steve is actually the vampernese lord hiding in plain sight as well. You might as well worked in the love triangle having Debbie fall for the other prince.

Jumped the shark in this one.

I could see where this was going, but still very entertaining. I guess Mr Hooks was unexpected though. This is an enjoyable series and Ralph Lister does a very solid job. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Predictable, But Still Very Entertaining

The story of Darren as a vampire continues.. many characters return and rounds out this story.

Not as exciting as the other books have been. Darren goes back to highschool which was painfully dull.

Just Alright

Wow! I thought the previous books in the Series Cirque du Freak were thrilling, this entry in the Series was even more than I could had imagined for young Darren Shan and Mr. Crepsley.

Narration is Top Notch, it is well written and should be of interest to anyone who Loves Vampire tales, no matter what age.

Nail Biting Suspense!
