In the sequel to Alpha Wolf's Pet, Hidden, Mia has two choices: remain hidden from the Russian mob determined to murder her, or become a sworn member of Dominic's werewolf pack. Being Dominic's human lover is pleasurable while taxing. She wants more commitment than he can give. Except werewolves never marry humans. Carnal desires aside, will she accept her status within the pack in order to share what little time she has with Dominic until he takes a werewolf mate?
Dominic is torn. If he gives Mia beta status, his pack will mutiny. If he doesn't, she'll leave. Her stubborn independent nature will turn his world of strict pack rules upside down. He loves her, but his pack rules will never allow him to claim a human as his mate. Worse, he's drawn to Mia's addictive blood. Was one taste too much?
Despite breaking the witness protection rules and looming danger, Mia is determined to visit her ailing grandmother. Can Dominic protect her from the mob, as well as from his kind? As their passion reaches a fevered pitch, will circumstances crush their happiness?

What did you love best about Alpha Wolf's Pet, Kept?
I liked the author's new vision and imagination of werewolf history, never read this version before. I have read of vampire pets but have never read of werewolf pets before. I did not read the previous book in this series but the author explained a lot about it, never making me confused as to what was happening in this book and why.Who was your favorite character and why?
Always love the alphas. The hero was a true alpha, strict yet fair. I loved that he was willing to fight for his pet and go against tradition. What about Augusta Rivers’s performance did you like?
She did a very fine job with the narration but I thought her voice was a bit young for me. Would have preferred a more mature voice, maybe even a male voice, but would not put me off to hear another story from her.Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, the story line was fast paced, dramatic and kept my interest. Time just flew while listening and was finished before I realized it.Any additional comments?
Thank you again, Eve Gordan, for allowing me to read the book. Hope to read another some day.Alpha's Pet

There isn't as much "heat" in this book as the first one, as Mia and Dom don't spend as much time together. The sexual interactions are handled tastefully by the narrator. I actually prefer that to attempts to emulate a "screaming" orgasm, which more often than not comes off contrived and ridiculous sounding. The narrator kept an even-paced delivery throughout the telling.
I enjoyed this audiobook romance, and I recommend it as a sweet, sometimes steamy, sometimes heart-pounding story.
I received this audiobook free from the author without obligation.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
The story was interesting but I was not crazy about the narrator. Before narrating a book it seems you should be sure you know how to correctly pronounce words... such as foliage pronounced like foilage...not sure whether it's a case of her pronouncing words incorrectly or the incorrect word being used in the written story...without seeing it, it's hard to know. Overall the story was entertaining, and I like how characters were further developed and story lines progressed at a steady pace. I am curious to see how the story ends for Mia and Dominic. Theirs is a love that should endure, but because of pack obligations they have a lot to overcome...especially their possessiveness over each other.Who was your favorite character and why?
While I was not crazy about the somewhat nasal tone used for her, I think Mia is my favorite character. She finds herself in one crazy situation after another where her life is threatened, but she doesn't give up, fighting back and trying to find her own place in her new life.Did Augusta Rivers do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
There was some variation in the voices used to depict the various characters, but it was sometimes difficult to know whether comments made were in the character's head or said aloud. The narrator for book 1 did a better job at differentiating between the two.Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
While I would have enjoyed listening to this all in one sitting, it was easy enough to pick up as I was only able to listen to it in 20 - 30 minute increments. The story continues...
