About this listen

There is a new Alpha Wolf in town, and she is about to change everything.

Mena had all she wanted in life: a nice house, money, a successful husband who treated her like a queen.

That was, until she found out her marriage was all a lie, and things she never thought could exist, did.

Vampires are real.

Werewolves are real.

And Mena is not human anymore.

Delightful Read

Would you listen to Accepting the Moon: Prequel again? Why?

Yes I would listen again. The story is a delight.

What did you like best about this story?

This was a very delightful face paced story. Paced with excitement, adventure and danger. I found myself quickly drawn into the story of the two clans and wondering how the war will be stopped as well as what will happen between her, Jackson and Phoenix. I do enjoy a story with many twists and turns this clearly has it all AND without the need of any actual sex scene, very well written.

What does Pyper Down bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her voice is delightful, very smooth and sensual. I enjoyed having the book read to me as it freed me up to do other things, even though I would not make a habit of listening to a book, there is just something about reading the words myself at least while I still have the vision to do so, when I can no longer see then I will turn to this style of reading without question.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I think the title of the book is fitting as a movie title

Great Sneak Peek!

I had the pleasure of listening to the Prequel of the series, Moonrising, unsure how I would feel about the paranormal genre, but once again, Ms. Haigwood caught my interest and pulled me into the story, leaving me wanting more. Based on the small glimpse I got, I’m intrigued to see what becomes of Mena and her new life....as a werewolf.

You’re going to want to sink your teeth into this

Mena has discovered that her husband of 12 yrs has cheated on her...he tries to apologize but then slaps her when he realizes that she’s going anyway. Mena is caught in a storm and pulls in to a crappy motel for the night. There she meets Jackson...who was there with a woman. However, once Jackson spots Mena he forgets about the woman and starts dragging her to her car...it’s a dark and stormy night so of course something happens!! The car is surrounded by wolves then Mena’s husband pulls up...and starts to morph into a wolf, then attacks! Mena wakes up to someone cleaning her wounds...she was bitten by wolf-Mark before she shot & killed him. Whew, this novella packs a punch...Mena’s rescuer is a vampire and she’s told that since she killed the head of the werewolves, she’s now the head. Vampires are enemies of the werewolves but Mena is determined to make some changes starting with a truce. Will Mena succeed? Will have to move on to the next book in the series to find out!!
Awesome story and great narration.

Alluring.

This prequel does exactly what a prequel should...leaves you wanting for more. Mena is going to be one badass werewolf. I love K.S. Haigwood's talent for making paranormal worlds unlike all of the rest. I can't wait to read more of her work.

The audible performance was perfect.
