Publisher's summary

Knowing the future isn't a blessing. It's a curse. Especially when you've seen your death.

I'm going to die in the arms of someone I have never seen before. He's a person I will love, but I don't know anything about him.

When TerraMates matched me with Airik, I couldn't believe it. This sexy alien could see the future, just like me. I wasn't alone anymore. I quickly found out he knows nothing about Earth or humans. I married him, but will I be safe with him?

I didn't foresee I would want to feel his hands on my body.

I've never been able to change the future before. For us to survive, I need to.

Always an original story

I received this book free for an honest review. I have listened to every one of Lisa Lace's TerreMate books. If I hadn't received the first book free, based on this story being "mail order", I probably would never have been interested in reading them. However, I find this series to be one of the best I have read. I found this book to be exciting, with a well planned story, romantic, and even thrilling. The relationship between Quinn and Airik has a similar flavor as do the other TerreMate books. Quinn has a legitimate reason to leave Earth and seek another planet. I don't totally understand why Airik has to get married, but he does. The budding relationship is troubled with the lack of communication. Lisa Lace did a great job of making this just enough different from the rest of her books to make it unique, but similar in order to result in the suspense and romance that makes these books great. It is not a one-dimensional story. It is full of laughter and seriousness to make it hard to put down. The narrators did a great job of portraying the characters and making them come alive.

Another Slam Dunk from Lisa Lace!

Although this one was not a happy-go-lucky read, there was no shortage of drama. There was a very healthy dosage of mystery and twists. At times I even thought that there would be no HEA. (Don't ask... I won't give it away.) As usual, there are no cliffhangers so you will have all your questions answered.

I completely enjoyed this one and eagerly await the next installment.

Just keeps getting better!

I've listened to a few books in the Terra-Mate series and this one, the fourth book is the best so far. I really feel like Lisa Lace is hitting her stride!

This is just pure escapism at its best. A sweet story with some heat added in.

Quinn and her father are constantly on the run, apparently witch trials are all the rage once more and anyone who is different is on the extermination list. As a precog Quinn is at the top of that list! When her father realizes that he can no longer protect her, he has no choice but to get her off the planet pronto.

No need to worry though TerraMates and her new hubby Airik come to the rescue... Well, as soon as Airik pulls his head out of you know where!

Narration? I felt Peter Verbena did a good job but, didn't really like the delivery by Kelly Owens it just seemed a little stiff, so I had to deduct a star.

Good story

What did you love best about Alpha's Enslaved Bride: A SciFi Alien Mail Order Bride Romance?

The fact that Quinn finally found a place she could belong

What did you like best about this story?

When Airik finally admitted he did love Quinn

Which scene was your favorite?

When all had the same precog about the disease that could wipe out 30 percent of the population.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I got frustrated with it because every time i thought they were getting along, it seemed they were not.

Any additional comments?

this is fourth in the series for the Terra Mates. It is a decent story line but i am not sure what the title had do with the story. I was expecting a story like book 2 but it was more like books 1 and 3 but still a decent story. I will listen to more in this series. I received this book free for a honest review.

Great Story - I love the Terra Mates Series

The title of the book threw me off. I was expecting a different storyline. I was expecting something like a girl arrives on a planet with dominant aliens....one falls for the human. However, this was not the case. Don't get me wrong at all. I love those kinds of stories. This was a very good love story with great sex and adventures. Just no dominant "Alpha". I kept checking the book cover to make sure I was listening to the correct book.

I listened to this great story. It is a romance between Quinn and Airik. Quinn lives on Earth and is being stalked by a crazy religious group. They want her dead because she can predict the future. The group tries several times to kill her. Quinn signs up for Terra Mates to go off world. She lands in the perfect place on a world of psychics.

Airik has a deadline and must marry someone quickly. His brother hooks him up with a bride through Terra Mates. Airik is the head of a precognition division of the government. He doesn't want a wife, but needs one or he will be asked to resign his post as director.

There is enough adventure and angst to keep this story interesting. As usual, Lisa Lace has written the descriptions of people and places well. I can visualize the characters clearly. I really do love her writing style.

The narrators are good. I love it when a man reads the male part and a woman the female part. The chapters are titled - Quinn or Airik (eye rick). I love the narrators and have bought several of their works.

Terramates book 4

The book name doesn’t match the actual story. There isn’t any slave part in the story. Good news is that it’s worth listening to and provides an enjoyable listening experience.

Good Story

Airik and Quinn are two precog who have visions of the future. Airik lives on a planet that gets knee deep snow ten months out of the year. Quinn is running from fanatics who want to burn her as a witch. When they get together it is explosive. I am glad that Airik finally got his act together and told Quinn how he really felt. The narration was very good. I like this one better than the other three that I have listened to. I got this book via the author.

Alpha's Enslaved Bride by Lisa Lace

Would you consider the audio edition of Alpha's Enslaved Bride: A SciFi Alien Mail Order Bride Romance to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the print version. But I enjoyed the bonus of having the story read with alternating male and female narrators.

What did you like best about this story?

I really like the concept of pre-cognition and the author's imaginative use of this gift to save lives. I also admired that Quinn was not shy about speaking her mind or going after her desires.

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene towards the end which is the reality of Quinn's early pre-cognition of her death.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scene where Quinn is still on earth and being chased by the Sons of the Heavenly Father which ends with the scene at the police station.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed ALPHA'S ENSLAVED BRIDE, the fourth book in Lisa Lace's TerraMates series. Another incredible addition to this series of stand-alone books that features couples who are matched for marriage throught the TerraMates program. Kind of a futuristic mail-order bride program. I love that each book offers romance with the bonus of enough danger to show these couples that they really do care for one another beyond the sexual chemistry that is always strong. A captivating love story with strong well-developed lead characters from a very imaginative author!

This features Quinn as the TerraMate for Airik, who lives on a planet where many of the residents have the gift of pyschic/pre-cognition abilities. I found it fascinating and was impressed with Ms. Lace's description of these abilities and function to better their planet's society. Quinn, however is from earth, and on earth she has been considered a witch and hunted for the abilities she has. Her life has been in danger and has had to hide out in her father's small apartment for years, fearing for her life if she ventured out. She applies to the TerraMates program hoping to be free to live a normal life on another planet. She is delighted when she meets Airik, her future husband and sees that he is a young and very sexy man.

Airik is a leader, director of the Pre-Cog program on his planet. Powerful and respected, but in need of a wife in order to meet his planet's requirements for keeping his position. He allows his brother to sign him up for a wife through the TerraMates program and so knows very little about Quinn's background when he brings her to his planet and marries her, including which planet she's from. Despite his indifference, and Quinn's fear of being exposed and rejected because of her abilities, these two have off the charts sexual chemistry and are happy to begin the physical side of their marriage. Luckily, because they both have pyshic abilities they soon find out how much they have in common and Quinn finds a welcome place in her new home planet.

This was another fabulous story of love, danger, and the couple saving the day or in this case, the planet. Quinn, was a strong female lead with surprising abilities and a very determined personality. Airik doesn't know quite how to handle this woman who is bringing out emotions in him he is not comfortable feeling... it doesn't fit with his always in control persona. What he does know is that she is sexy as hell and he isn't ready to give her up at the end of their one year contract. He just needs to convince Quinn he really cares for her.

I listened to the audio version of Alpha's Enslaved Bride. There is both a male and a female narrator who alternate per chapter based on the point of view for a particular chapter. I thought it worked out well and that each narrator did a great job of voicing the various characters. Overall a great story I highly recommend! 4 stars
