Publisher's summary

She's loved him all her life.

Lady Elise Halden knows how to get a horse to bend to her will with a gentle touch and subtle coaxing. But she's learning that bringing the new Earl of Camden to heel is nothing like training a horse. If she has any hope of reining in the Earl's affections, she will need a plan. With help from her friend Lady Beverly, and her sister-in-law the Duchess, Elise sets out to win her indifferent Earl's heart.

He's admired her from a respectable distance.

As young men, Michael Brightman and his best friend swore sisters were off limits. This promise was made solely to protect his own sisters from his friend's charming, rakehell ways. The Duke of Caversham's little sister was always a precocious minx to avoid, till one day Michael realizes Lady Elise is all grown up and the things he wants to do with the lady are surely going to upset the friendship with her brother.

Together they discover that physical evidence doesn't equate truth, and trusting the heart is sometimes the hardest lesson to learn.

Caversham Chronicles; Book Two Already His

I read book one myself, and was drawn in, unable to put the book down. A great sensual, loving and romantic tale with just the right amount of action. When I purchased book two, it was in the audio form, and the narration was simply amazing! This was my first time listening to an audio book, I always prefer to hold the book in my hand, and read at my own pace. But, since I was on a long road trip, for work, and I had finished book one in the hotel, I couldn't wait to see what book two was about, so I let it play during my drive, and I was not disappointed. The story, and the narrators went perfectly together, and I am now a great fan of the writer, the narrators, and audio books!

Lady Elise Halden - Likeable Heroine!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend it, highly, especially if Book One was previously read. The storyline was excellent and well thought out and also well written and the choice of the narrators was brilliant.

What other book might you compare Already His to and why?

I would compare it to Book one of the Caversham Chronicles as it was the absolutely delicious complement to the continued saga.

Which character – as performed by Victoria J. Mayers and Dennis Kleinman – was your favorite?

Lady Elise was the favourite performance by Victoria,. She really portrayed who Elise really is by her voice rendition of Elise's various moods and forthright and outspoken ways. The sternness and seemingly unbending nature of Lord Caversham was forcefully and perfectly depicted by Dennis. Marvelous performances by the tandem efforts of these two narrators.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. But 11 1/2 hrs had to be broken up into manageable portions. The storyline was enthralling and moved along very briskly. I enjoyed the romance.

Any additional comments?

The continuation of the story about Lia and Ren and their family was wonderful. The love of the feisty Lady Elise for Michael was heartwarming and progressed from her first sighting of him at 10 years old. Michael was realizing that Elise had changed and his regard for her was developing. But a promise was preventing his courting her until certain information precipitated a release of the promise made as a younger man to his best friend. His subsequent behaviour was reprehensible and he deserved to be submitted to serious grovelling on his part. Beverly was a charming addition to the plot and was a dramatic foil to the incorrigible Elise, who needed a confidante for her schemes. Sandy, this was a really fitting second book, to the first book and I'm anticipating the enjoyment of the other books.

GREAT NARRATION!!

What did you love best about Already His?

All the Different Characters and the H/H

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would not have written the plot line involving Elise the heroine. Causing a debate between the H/H it added nothing but dislike for the Hero!! Who was right according to the era!! Never write a dislikable lead character!!!

What does Victoria J. Mayers and Dennis Kleinman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

These two narrators are the best I have ever listen too. I have 80+ audio books and CD an Victoria J Mayers and Dennis Kleinman are the best. They make the story exciting, romantic and you can feel the emotions of the characters in their voices. They also have a lot of voice changes. They are Amazing!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes!! It made me Cry!

Any additional comments?

Note to author Sandy Raven don't put your readers in a position to chose between H/H. The incident with Elise caused readers to take sides. Which cause a split decision in weather the story was good or great. It could have been great!!!

Shouldn't of gone for seconds

The first book was a lot better at least that one had suspense in it, this on...Not.

Well this one was way to long. It drags .
I do love historical romance but they have to have more than gowns description, balls and 2 girls plotting to get their man.
Didn't feel any connection nor anything real about either Elyse or Micheal. The love scenes were strongly lacking, some authors do know how to write them, Sandy Raven, does not.. And the plot fell much to short.

I found the double narration less confusing than in the first book but the narrators were not good at voices and at times sounded like they were trying to hard.
