Great American mythology

I love this whole series by Orson Scott Card. I love the alternative history mingled with fantasy and lore. The only reason I gave the performance 4 stars were the multiple quiet passages that no matter what I did with the speakers I couldn’t hear. It was very annoying.

Great book terrible audio

The audio sounded terrible. Like was this recorded in 1982? The narrator did good but I must say I liked the first 3 books narration better with different readers for the different characters. Love the story so it makes up for the bad audio.

Book 4

Story as great as all others in this series. Just like everyone else, the quality of the audio and the narration is HORRIBLE! Wish reviews would be read by production. if reviews really mattered, they would have re-recorded this already. Did they even listen to it prior to putting on Audible...?

God Tier

Absolutely bonkers , beyond expression, experience revelations, hits like pavement and elevates your general day to day station

Decent story but poor quality

Overall story was good but the audio quality is poor. Muffled and tinny. Not as good as the first three books.

Unfortunately

I will not be reading any more Orson Scott Card books. I?ve really enjoyed him in the past, but his making a mockery of a rape charge is more than I can take. His lead female roles have always been either as a mother (caretaker), breeder, or failure. It didn?t bother me before, because I love my role as a caretaker and wife in my own life. That doesn?t mean I think it?s the only valuable role a woman can choose, and shouldn?t be represented as such in respectful popular literature. I?ve stopped this book now and won?t buy any more (not that there are many more left that I haven?t read). It?s sad though, that someone who writes so well, has such a limited view of half of our species.

mushmouth

It seemed like the narrator was in a hurry to get this book over with, and in her haste was hard to understand. I had to hit the back 30 second button more than 100 times, which made listening more of a job than a pleasure
