Seventeen-year-old Cori (aka Citizen 1206) only longs for wide open spaces and freedom. Any additional comments?
4.5 stars for the story and the narration.I really enjoyed this book. Interesting, well written, entertaining and engaging. Creative, unique and timeless world the author has created. The story pulls you in from the first paragraph and never lets go. I did not want to stop listening. Definitely worth your time.
In the beginning of the book I was totally confused as to who all the players are. That is my own fault, I did not listen to the first book in the series. There are a lot of characters. It took me a while to get them all straight. I would not consider this a standalone book. Definitely read the first book before starting this one. It's a complex story with a lot of characters.
Political intrigue, abilities, action, suspense, space travel, alien worlds, telepathics more. How could you not be pulled into this unique world and not be thoroughly entertained. The story is constantly moving forward with a large cast of great characters, so there is never a dull moment throughout the book. So just hang on for the ride.
I will be going back and reading/listening to the first book. Just for the pure enjoyment and to get the backstory on all of the characters. Fortunately according to the author there is also going to be or there is a third installment to the series, hopefully that book will also be available on Audible soon and with any luck will have Zachary Johnson as the narrator.
Zachary Johnson did a great job with the narration. Nice voice easy to listen to for hours at a time. Clearly spoken. Narration flowed smoothly and evenly. The story is fast paced and the narration matches the story. Fast when needed, slower when needed. Great character voices. He was able to bring the characters and the story to life. Overall very enjoyable.
I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook by the narrator, author or publisher.

This is a provisional review and rating which might be revised after a second listen.I was gifted Anastasis by the right's holder, via Audiobook Boom and so came to it without the background story from book one. Thrust straight into a complex plot, with action coming so fast there was barely a moment to draw breath and a large cast of diverse characters, I was almost a third of the way through the book before it began to make sense. But it was exciting, different and compelled me onwards.
Zachary Johnson's narration moves at a fast pace matching the speed of the text and, given how many protagonists need to be voiced, does a good job even if not all are differentiated. Doesn't t matter. The sheer pace drives everything forward.
But, I needed to have read it's predecessor to fully enjoy who was who and what was happening. So, because I felt this book deserves a full understanding, I have now purchased, Hell Above Me, the first in the Vicheu Chronicles, and will listen again to Anastasis afterwards to provide a more accurate review.

Those things in the caves were scary. The torture that Nikolas went through was unimaginable. I haven't read the first in the series but I plan on it. The characters really drew me in. I received this audiobook for free through Audiobook Boom for my unbiased review.Anastasis

Zachary Johnson does a great job narrating. He's a fast reader, even for me, but that's more of a positive thing from my perspective than perhaps most audiobook listeners.

To me the story felt timeless and spacey (without location) which I liked. Overall, I enjoyed it.
Zachary Johnson did a terrific job narrating the story. He has powerful vocal skills and a great voice. I really enjoyed listening to him.
