Publisher's summary

As a private investigator, I get my fair share of crazy clients. But when an attractive college girl comes to me, telling me her best friend had been taken by fairies, I want to believe she's telling the truth.

Turns out, she is.

Tracking down her friend leads me to a world completely different from Earth, where I'm befriended by a group of elves and faced with the truth of magic.

All the while, I'm honoring my promise to find the missing girl.

Love and adventure await me in this strange realm where powerful magic and beautiful women abound. I just have to survive long enough to enjoy them.

wonderful book

Nothing like a good detective novel, now throw in magic and women in danger of being sacrificed to raise a god. Good story and I can't wait for the next audiobook.

Kinda meh

It's an OK book but honestly I couldn't really get excited about it. The mc is perpetually horny and somewhat thick headed for a detective. I understand his situation could be shocking but he spends the whole book confused about magic being real.

Something a little different

Great to listen to something a little different with he MC being a Private Investigator, The narration team is stellar. IT was a good listen and worth my credit.

Private Eye LitRPG

I was all excited that this was gonna be an old style private dic gumshoe thriller and it started off that way but then went regular LitRPG quick and the gumshoe flare died down to about 2%.
Not complaining "too" much. It is an awesome story and a great series start.
This is a HaremLit series... I hope there's a bit more spice in the next one.
I'm giving this book 8 out of 5 stars.

Not for me, the mc is a joke.

MC is the definition of incompitent in my opinion, you're in a fantasy world, and have a gun, yet he only uses the thing when it wont work, but every time you can use it, the mc looses the gun. that is just stupid writing, though, should have realized the writing quality as soon as the mc willingly surrenders to become a captive, oh and to compound this, the mc is ofcourse the kind that will find any excuse he can to avoid killing the whole book has the feeling of a really bad anime, has most of the same tropes atleast. the thing is, none of this would have been a problem, if the writer hadn't kept talking about how savy the mc was in combat, talking again and again about how many fights he has been in before, how much of a badass cop he supposedly was, and yet, keeps forgetting or dropping his weapon at every opertunity, and to top it all of, the man doesnt seem to know that initiative is important in a fight...

td;lr: can't enjoy the book when the mc is an idiot.
