Publisher's summary

His family and friends referred to him as a "rounder" because when it came to the ladies, Jayce (rhymes with Chase) Weathers, definitely gets around. He's the hot bad boy who knows how to give a woman a night of wild pleasure and some laughs and then leaves them wanting more and chasing after him.

Not that they're likely to catch him. Jayce isn't opposed to settling down, he just hasn't met the right woman - if she even exists. He's starting to wonder.

And then Billy Sweet shows up at the Honky Tonk Angels bar where Jayce is finishing the remodel on the top floor, and he has with him a woman and her two-year-old daughter. Callie and Lily Williams. Callie brings out something in Jayce. Something besides passion and lust. He wants to be her hero.

When Callie's car ran out of gas just outside of Cotton Creek, she never expected to be rescued. Or to be offered a job and a place for her and Lily to stay. And she sure didn't except to meet a man that made her dream of things she couldn't have - love everlasting, a family and a home. But Jayce Weathers makes her dream of those things and a whole lot more.

They might both be dreaming the same thing. The problem is, there's someone who doesn't want that dream to come true for Callie, someone who just might be willing to do anything to make sure her dreams don't come true.

Yep, things are heating up again in Cotton Creek.

Soooo good

I get excited every time I see her name on a book. I will say lily is my favorite lol. The narrator does the best job with all the characters and keeping it animated. I can't wait for the next book.

Another winner

I absolutely love this series. I am packing my bags and going out to find Cotton Creek! The town is a small town that is experiencing an oil boom, yet it still has all it’s charm.
Callie, a single mom of a 2 year old runs out of gas and is rescued by Billy Sweet. The Sweet family takes them in. Sorry no spoilers. You need to read the book. You won’t be disappointed.

A Feel Good Story to Remember!

Where does Ask Me to Stay rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I do not usually read or listen to this type of book, because I am a Fantasy and Science Fiction reader, but I have to say that this book made me feel. Any type of reading or listening experience that makes you feel, is a success in my mind.

What did you like best about this story?

This was a story about a Mother and little girl that was hurt for such a long time that they began to think that they could not deserve anything better. When other people started treating them different, they were so surprised that anyone could really be that kind. That wonder was well expressed in the story.

Which character – as performed by J. Scott Bennett – was your favorite?

The Mother, Callie, is a good woman who just is looking for a little kindness. She finds it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, it was a good story but it was not a hugely action packed story or a page turner.

Hot Cowboy Romance with a pinch of Supernatural

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. The story is well written in a series for more backstory of other characters, or as a stand-alone. I enjoyed the twists and turns, mystery/suspense content and characters and their world so much that I purchased/pre-ordered the 5 & 6th ebooks in the series and can't wait for the same narrator to perform the correlating audiobooks. Each story has a pinch of supernatural elements that brings a unique touch to these romantic cowboy stories. There are cross-over characters from other series that I am now interested in reading/listening to their stories for more insight to their back stories. The stories are well written and the narrator did an awesome job bringing the characters and stories to life. I highly recommend this series and encourage looking into the other series by this author.

Honky Tonk Angels # 4

Any additional comments?

Very entertaining and enjoyable. Another great addition to the series. Romance, heartbreak, mystery, suspense and a HEA. Great characters with a really good storyline. It's always a pleasure listening to one of The Honky Tonk Angel's books.

Even though this is the 4th book in the series it can be read as a stand alone. Although I would read the previous books in the series just for the enjoyment of each book.

This time it's Jayce turn to have his life changed when he meets the newest residents in Cotton Creek, Callie Williams and her daughter Lily. We also get to see all of our favorite characters from the previous books. It's like visiting old friends.

J Scott Bennett does a great job with the narration as usual. Great character voices. Loved the voice for lily. Clearly spoken and a smooth even pace. He just has a way of bringing the characters to life in every book he narrates.

A Second Chance for Callie and Jayce

I always enjoy my visits to Cotton Creek, I love the way most of the people who live there help out and are there for one another. This is Callie and Jayce's story primarily but it's so much more.

Callie and her daughter Lilly have left everything behind they are on the run and need to make a new start but money is tight and apart from a plan to visit a friend Callie has no idea what they are going to do. A few miles outside Cotton Creek her wreck of a car runs out of gas but fortunately for her Billy Sweets stops and offers to take her to town for gas then bring her back to her car.

Billy takes them to the Honky Tonk Angels Bar and Grill for some food and maybe a job, the bar is owned by Billy and his daughters Cody and Hannah. Jayce Weathers owns the construction company which has just rebuilt the bar following its destruction by a twister. He's there finishing off the upstairs when Billy walks in accompanied by Callie and her child. Jayce is a ladies man, the people in Cotton Creek call him a "rounder" because he knows his way around women. He was married once but his wife walked out on him leaving him with his baby son to bring up alone, well with the help of the rest of the Weathers family.

Callie gets a job at the bar and a place to stay with Cody Sweet and over time Callie and Lilly get to know everyone and are offered security and love. Callie always dreamt of being a singer even as a child but those dreams went up in smoke, so she loves that she gets the chance to sing in the bar sometimes. The more Callie gets to know Jayce the more she trusts him so she tells him the hell she ran from and Jayce promises to protect her and Lilly. When Callie's past comes knocking she decides to face it head-on, no more living in fear and with Jayce's help and that of her new friends it proves to be easier than she expected.

When her dreams of being a singer look to be coming true, will she follow her dreams or has her dream changed - will Jayce ask her to stay?

I love the characters, little Lilly stole my heart along with those of the whole Weathers family who haven't had a girl to spoil ever. I loved that Callie and Jayce got a second chance at love after all they had been through their road may not have been easy but the journey was well worth taking.

The narration of this book is again performed beautifully by J. Scott Bennett. I love the warmth he brings to the characters personalities.

Great book - I am loving this series

I really liked this book. This is the fourth book in the series that I have read. I just loved the characters - from the gossiping old biddies to Callie, the girl who is not what she appears. I loved seeing how all the characters welcome Callie and her young daughter, Lilly, and seeing how a young child can bring so much joy to others. The story is really interesting, seeing how they rebuild the Honky Tonk Angels Bar, and the changes that are suggested in running it. This book just swept me away and immersed me in the town of Cotton Creek. I listened to the Audible audio version of this book narrated by J. Scott Bennett. I just love his narration. He is on-spot with every character and really brings the story to life. If you like western romance, I highly recommend this book (as well as the series).

Home is where the heart is

Every book by Ciana, is a treat. I just know that besides the sexy cowboys, I'm in for a bit of danger and a lot of falling in love. This book has the sense of family, and becoming part of somethi ng more. Just loved it.

Any additional comments?

Callie, the female lead has a couple of secrets and is running from her past.

She ends up in Cotton Creek, Texas where she meets Jayce.

He gives her the strength that she needs to fight her demons and Callie brings out

Jayce's protectiveness.

Overall, this was an Entertaining Read and I just wished it was a bit longer.

I am interested in reading the other books in this series.

J. Scott Bennett did a Good Job with the Narration.
