Fun Little Sci Fi Short

In a story this short one of the goals can be to get the audience/reader to think. I would say that's been done. The picture accompanying the audiobook basically shows what happens, as a man meets something he'd never expect while the world watches. The surprise is what happens when he meets that creature and what it means for the rest of humanity.

The narration is great, like something out of an old time radio drama but with more current production quality. There are sound effects to emphasize the situation, but beneath the extras the narrator does a great job of portraying the scene.

I received the audiobook review code for this at my request and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Just what I needed

You would think that 20 minutes would not be long enough but this book was just the right amount. I loved the narration and the story was a bit of a tongue-in-cheek philosophical exploration. Loved it!

Enjoyable Scifi!

Astropithecus is written by George Saoulidis. The narration is by Ralph Scott. This is a very short story that is meant to be thought-provoking for the listener. The running time is only 20 minutes. In that 20 minutes, the listener is allowed to hear a conversation on an asteroid that mysteriously appeared and parked in the Earths orbit. Astronaut Alex Jones is sent to take a sample and try to discover the mystery of the asteroid. What he finds is so much more. This is a short story that held my attention the entire running time and left me wanting more. This is the first time I have heard a vocal performance by Mr. Scott. The performance was enjoyable for the short story. The audiobook was published by Mythography Studios. .The production value of this audiobook was of an excellent quality. I heard no problems during the entire performance. There were not any detectable flaws that I was able to hear during the entire performance. I did not hear any loops, breaks, or buzzing. The production was crisp and clear. Mythography Studios. delivered an excellent audiobook production. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

The ending left me wanting more

I was really enjoying the story and the sound effects had me thinking I was listening to a radio play.

It felt like this is part of a larger story, like there's got to be another half of this story that I am missing and that's my only complaint. It easily could have gone on another half hour and I would have enjoyed it even more.

Entertaining and thought provoking

I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected. It was entertaining as well as thought provoking especially if you are interested in ancient human civilizations theories or just a lover if sci fi stories.

An Uplifting Story

This well paced and humorous little story will make you laugh and maybe think a little bit.
As we search for other intelligent beings to share with, perhaps we should start at home.
This is a good read well written.

Humorous Science Fiction

I honestly wasn't expecting a lot from a 18 minute short story but if your into lighthearted science fiction you'll most likely get a chuckle or two from this. This is one of those experiences that an ability to suspend your disbelief makes it a quick fun experience because of the zany nature of what occurs in the short story and the voice acting by Ralph Scott complements that aspect of the short story very well.
