Humanity’s only hope is the commander they spurned...

Once, Master Commander Carter Rose was the Union’s secret weapon. An augmented, bio-engineered officer in command of the most powerful warship ever devised by human minds, Rose brought them victory against the post-human Aternien Empire.

Then they cast him aside.

A century later, humanity’s enemy has returned, hell-bent on revenge, and the Union's only hope is the man they had forsaken.

Courage of the characters!

Great story that was well performed. The science in the book was cool and believable.

What did you say?

This is a great series of stories. The only problem is that the narration style makes the first few words loud and the end of the sentence unable to be heard.
In spite of this I loved the story! Yw

Aterian Wars

The interaction between the crew and their helper bots was adorable and fun. Also, the setting of the adversary in ancient Egyptian made this story. Very interesting.

What a ride! More. More! More!!

All over the nine planets of the Union and then some!!
What an interesting world building universe… I’m excited to see what happens next in the epic storyline.
TechnoPharoahs and gopher robot sidekicks, and enough character tension to keep it moving, excited, and guessing.

I recommend this box set

Definitely an interesting story, written fairly well and narrated sufficiently. The story was well paced and left few plot holes.

Decent story ruined by narrator and editor

The story is okay but the narrator was bad. HE STARTS EVERY LINE loud enough but [whispering] ends in a small voice. This could have been fixed by any competent editor. NORMALISE the volume.

I probably missed 1/4 of the details in this series but, if you live alone in a VERY quiet place, it is worth it if you get all 3 volumes for 1 credit.

Struggling a bit with this one…

Writing is decent but I have a hard time with a story where the protagonist is (IMO) fighting for the wrong side… all that ‘I made a vow’ grandstanding rings like ‘I was just following orders’. The human side in this story maybe SHOULD get wiped out…. it represents the worst instincts of our race.

Also… I have a hard time with “the fate of humanity rests on one person… but that person then proceeds to run around doing risky things for little gain instead of committing subordinates and protecting himself. Captain s don’t go on away missions.
