About this listen
The End is Nigh.
Noth, humanity's greatest threat, has awoken and he's out for blood. So is Cole and his merry crew of misfits. They have the means to get it, too. Sort of. Their weapon might not be fully functional, but it just needs a power boost. How hard can it be?
Pretty freaking hard, as it turns out.
Especially when their enemies will do anything to stop them. When someone close to the crew is murdered and Cole is framed for the deed, things only get more complicated. Under the circumstances, that problem should be put on the backburner, but nothing is ever as it seems.
Cole will always be a Renegade.
He aims to save the galaxy, even if it means dying. Again.
Both sides are vying for victory. Both have everything to lose. In a war between mortals and gods, who will come out on top?
Join Cole and his friends on their last journey in the Slip Runner series to find out.

Story
When a salvage job on an old battlefield goes awry, Kril's left with no crew, no food, a suspiciously absent client, and far too many enemies. Fortunately, it's a big universe, and he's got a fast ship and the best pilot in twenty light-years to watch his back. His journey to keep 'er flying and get a crew back together will take him from rescue operations in collapsing freighters to fighting dinosaurs in the sewage canals of pirate paradises and to points beyond. The odds are stacked against him, but Kril keeps it simple.

Story
In the year 3152, humanity is at war with three species who suppress our existence. While one is more ruthless than the others, our species is viewed as an unstable threat to the galactic balance. Resources are finite, battle is ubiquitous, and the enemies of Earth are unrelenting. The average human is born to fight for the species’ survival, deprived of a normal life so that one day a future generation may know peace. The expansions of Alpha Centauri are under siege while the Wolf System is down to just a few outposts. Not all is lost, though.

Amazing!
I have loved this series from the beginning. It started with the action turned up to 10 and has kept me engaged from the first word. I am a Chaney fan and buy everything with his name, but this is one of my favorite co-writes. I have high hopes to see more from Lerma as a solo writer. Thorne was a gem found in this series. I am a snob about narrators. A good narrator can make a mediocre book shine, and a bad narrator can make excellent work lackluster. Thorne has made good work even better, and I look forward to hearing more from him.
There is nothing about Slip Runner as a series that reinvents the wheel. It is just a good story that is fun and engaging. I highly recommend this series.
