About this listen

London is dead!

Two months ago, billions of people were killed by a deadly germ. Days later, they rose up again in massive numbers. Since then, cities worldwide have become rat-infested, germ-filled hellholes, ruled by the living dead.

There are 300 survivors grouped together in the shadows of the Tower of London. On one side, the river Thames. In all other directions, nothing but the undead.

With so many mouths to feed, food is at a premium. But if they can make it through winter, they'll have a shot at long-term survival. They have no choice but to scavenge the ruins of apocalyptic London to survive, but with every building they strip, every street they clear, they risk enraging the vast hordes of the undead that have them surrounded.

It's a delicate balancing act - fight to survive but avoid an unwinnable, all-out war.

And yet, there may be another option...

Autumn: Inferno is the second book in a standalone trilogy set in the nightmare world of David Moody's international best-selling Autumn novels—the original epic British zombie saga.

good

This is the second in the series. it picks up about a month after the first. Slow in some parts but fast enough to keep it going.

Solid Continuation

~Disclaimer: I received a free audiobook copy of this book. ~

If you liked the first book, this is a solid continuation.

Since I liked the first book in this new arc of the Autumn story, I was happy to get a free audiobook copy.

The realities of staying in London during the zombie apocalypse are beginning to set in for the community. It provides a multitude of perspectives and priorities that are fleshed out through multiple POVs.

Moody continues to create great scenes of clashes with the undead. His characters are believable and have real priorities and aspirations; some priorities being darker than others.

Aubrey Parsons does an excellent job narrating the book. He adds personality to the different characters and is easy to listen to.

The Havoc in London Continues

Book 2 of ‘The London Trilogy' from the ‘Autumn’ universe of books by David Moody is jam-packed with zombie-fighting action, The harrowing tale of survivors of a zombie apocalypse trying to keep the millions-strong undead horde from overtaking their last bastion of refuge, The Tower of London, is a tale of perseverance, devastation, and ultimately--hope.

With characters full of bravery, resilience and ingenuity, the plan to leave London behind is on. But will the few who act solely for their own benefit be the downfall of the others? The fight for survival against the dead and the living gets even more nail-bitingly suspenseful.

Aubrey Parsons continues to deliver an outstanding narration of this series. He conveys the urgency of the plot superbly.

Highly recommended.

lots of running

A lot of characters were introduced on this book. (i got a little confused). The zombies continued to evolve (?) Lots of heart-racing and sad moments. But in the end ... hope.

Enjoying this zombie story (never been to England but I can clearly picture the way the narrator describes it, after I get use to the accent/way he says the words)

Extremely well done.

I am very impressed by David Moodys incredibly vivid and frankly grotesque detailed writing. That's the first thing i should say. He makes the zombie apocalypse feel like it never has before for me in an audiobook.

The story itself is really coming to a head now with many parts and characters who have been boiling under pressure, some stepping up and others plunging downwards. The last hour of the book was a desperate struggle for all involved and was extremely well done.

Aubrey Parsons does an amazing array of voices that atleast to me as an American help draw me in to the British atmosphere and are easily differentiated and heard. My one complaint is that he did what i think what was supposed to be a french Canadian accent i didn't quite buy or like, but then given that i live much nearer to canada than i suspect he does, i'll give it a pass. After all, its not like if i was in his shoes i could do a accent similar!

its ok I guess

I wasn't able to get book 1, so I missed the whole basis of the next 2 books. I thought it was pretty boring, and there were too many characters for me to keep everyone straight. The narrator wasn't too bad
