Love like you’re never counting the cost.

Ten years ago, Bethany Walker was the rich girl who had it all. But her world came crashing down when her father was arrested for stealing millions. Convinced he was framed, Bethany sets out to destroy the powerful Sterling family that ruined her father. She’ll do whatever it takes in her quest for revenge—even seduce her greatest enemy.

Billionaire banker Kirk Sterling is instantly attracted to Bethany from the moment he meets her. When it comes to relationships, he’s usually the one in control, but Bethany has the power to bring him to his knees. After he discovers she’s in dire financial straits, Kirk will do anything to play the hero to her damsel in distress.

Falling for him isn’t an option, but Bethany starts to see that Kirk is nothing like she imagined. As she gets closer to him her plan for revenge is in danger, and so is her heart.

Intriguing

Bethany did lie to Kirk about who she truly was and why she sought out his family. When the truth is revealed Kirk sends her own her way. He was always nice and helpful to her. This audiobook ends on a cliff hanger. Nsrrator Peter Stapleton did a great job.

Exciting enemies to lovers romance!

Banking on Him, an Audiobook by Lexy Timms, is the gripping story of Kirk and Bethanny. Her father was framed for embezzling millions. Now, she’s out to ruin the family who ruined hers. But, she needs money first and pursues a bank loan….only to meet with the man she wants to ruin…Kirk.

This story was actually very good! I enjoyed the slow build of the story and what led to her desire to destroy him and his family. But, that feeling is mutual. She’s single-minded…but, slowly falling for Kirk. Meanwhile, he has no idea who she is. Ends in a cliffhanger

This Audiobook was wonderfully narrated by Peter Stapleton…no easy task for a sole narrator…but, his performance is admirable…bringing a depth to the story and the characters that enhance the story! Great job!!!

Good but needs a better ending

The book starts slow but picks up the pace. I enjoyed the book but it left me wanting more. I didn't care for the harsh abrupt ending at all.

Bummer... it's a cliffhanger with no Book 2 yet

I really want to know I am getting a cliffhanger before I start the book - I would have waited for the rest of the series before listening to it. However.....
The author and narrator are new to me - I like the story line very much, I like the descriptive writing that creates images and pictures in my mind. I will try more titles by Lexy Timms.
The author speaks so slowly... and I am not used to a single male narrator for all characters. I think I would like it better with a more varied and natural narration, but I am very ready for the rest of the story! If you like romance, and some mysterious background plots, this book will entertain you well.

Fun start to this series!

This fast paced, unpredictable romance had me from the first chapter. Lexy Timms took me into a fake boyfriend romance and kept me listening to find out what would happen next! Bethany is on a mission. She feels her wrongly accused father needs to be exonerated. How should she go about it? Get to know the family secrets of those that took him down. Kirk meets her, and with her fake story, feels for her situation, leaving him vulnerable to her wiles. Kirk needs a date to be with his family, and Bethany agrees to go. As she builds trust and sympathy, she is slowly finding out Kirk is not the man she thought. Their feelings are building, but now she is being thrown into the midst of a life she lost. Will she be able to pull of what she needs to? Are there secrets in Kirk's family that need to be revealed? Will Kirk find out who she really is? These and other questions need the answers you will desire, and the cliffhanger has me waiting for the next book to see where it all leads.

Peter Stapleton is a new to me narrator, and he brings this gem to life. Full of voices, he provides both the female and male points of view with wonderful choices for each character. He gives just the right amount of angst and emotion to keep the story interesting and flowing. Looking forward to the next book.

Betrayal is nasty

This book started off slow but if u feel the same keep going it’s totally worth it. The things kids will do for their family and to save them is crazy. Bethany lost her status, her father who was in prison for years and her mom due to alcohol all because of possible betrayal from employees back when they owned a business. Bethany will do anything to proof their innocence even romance the son of the “crooks”. The ending was really vague so I hope book 2 comes out soon and clears it all up

Kirk Sterling and Bethany Livingston

***SPOILER ALERT***

Audiobook review. Book 1 of 6 in the Billionaire Banker series. Dual POV. I enjoyed Peter Stapleton's narration. If read alone, this isn't a romance because it doesn't end with a HEA. As part of a series, it does end with lots of unanswered questions, including which family are the true criminals? Content warnings: secret identity; revenge plot; and h family has been accused of financial crimes, stripped of their wealth, and ostracized from their community.

Kirk Sterling (32) is the tall, dark-haired, green eyed VP of Sterling Investment Bank (SIB) tasked with running the West Coast SIB branches. His parents took the bank from Lloyd Livingston when Kirk was 22. Kirk's younger brother runs the East Coast branches. Kirk believes that his younger brother is his mother's favorite and that she wants him to take over SIB, not Kirk. Lloyd Livingston was just released from prison four years early, after a decade of incarceration. Bethany Livingston (27; aka Bethany Walker) blonde haired, blue-eyed, aspiring fashion designer, born in Italy, is heavily in debt from student loans, and Lloyd Livingston's daughter. The Sterling family destroyed her life when she was 17 by going after her father and destroying her family's century old banking business. Lloyd Livingston, her father, was accused of financial crimes, convicted, and incarcerated. Her mother became an alcoholic moving from man to man, not believing her husband's claims of innocence. Josh, her older brother, has also fallen on hard times and hasn't been able to assist their family. Bethany goes to SIB for a loan to start her own fashion line as a way to gain intel on the Sterling family for her father. Kirk happens to be filling in for one of SIB's loan officers and takes the meeting with Bethany. Sadly, he turns her loan down but feels a need to help her, so he takes her to lunch. The next day, she returned to inform him that she lost her apartment when her landlord found out her ex-boyfriend stole the furniture. Kirk offers his guest house. Bethany moves in. Kirk hires her to design a suit for him to wear to his cousin's wedding. Kirk's father tells him that he is ready to choose a successor for SIB but wants Kirk to settle down first. Kirk asks Bethany to be his date for his cousin's wedding. Kirk falls first, but when his mom reveals Bethany's identity, Kirk kicks her out. JP
