About this listen

Worlds of heroes brings worlds of power

In a world where Super-Normals are more common and super villain threats to society more extreme, Joshua Henderson faces a new reality when he is transformed by a greedy scientist into a half-dog, half-man creature with super powers, taking not only his humanity, but his past memories, as well. With only tiny shreds of his memory intact and his speech reduced to the mere gibberish of barking, Joshua takes refuge with the other Super-Normals of the United Corps of Heroes.

As Bark trains to master his new powers and struggles to gain a foothold on his existence, things seem to be settling down for him as he starts life as a student of the UCH. An opportunity of restoring his humanity presents itself just as every world leader is targeted by strange assassination robots. Will Bark leave the superhero life behind and regain his humanity, or will he retain the mantle of hero ship and help to save the world?

not worth it

the lip smacking and coughing on top of all the bad edits
now worth the money or time

<Dog pun here>

Bark, Episode 1: Mutated Beginnings is an origin story. An unpowered man is experimented on, and gains various powers, mostly all related to dog-themed powers; including super smell, natural weapons, and inability to speak human languages.

Pretty simple hero story, but I enjoyed it. It'll be interesting to see what happens next.

Audio: Tovar is okay, but there are a few technical hiccups now and again (such as a repeated sentence or unedited cough)

Recommended for: fans of the super-hero genre

A good story but needs to be longer.

I believe this is a creative story that needs to be developed further.

The Narrator did a good job with the material.

I believe it is a good read but needs to be expanded.

Need better audio editing.

Constantly hearing the narrator clear his throat and smack his lips in the silence between lines got rather grating on the nerves.
The story was enjoyable but honestly the writing was a bit weak, "don't bother trying to break that it's pure composite titanium." Umm composite metals aren't pure just saying. A lot of little things like that, okay on there own but things add up. I'll still probably get the next book just to see ware it goes.

really good but WAY too short

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was a good book. I was very entertained. The characters were interesting, the narrator does a good job on the audio. My only real complaint is that it is pretty short. It felt like it was over far too quickly for me.
