If it was still beating. Angus MacKay has been undead for almost 500 years and it's not often something, or someone, surprises him. Until Emma Wallace. The sight of this luscious agent from the CIA's elite Stake-Out team was enough to stop Angus in his tracks. But then he discovers that she's a vampire slayer, intent on killing the "monsters" who killed her parents. And it's Angus's job to stop her.
The only good vampire is a dead vampire. It's been Emma's motto since she committed her life to the destruction of these things. Now Angus MacKay wants to convince her differently. Sure, he's a sexy Highland warrior who seems to have stepped off the cover of a romance novel, complete with brogue, kilt, and sword, but he's also one of them. And it's her job to kill him.
The war is on, but will it end in the destruction of one or both of them... or in total surrender to a passion for the ages?

Would you listen to Be Still My Vampire Heart again? Why?
Yes I would. I enjoyed Emma the heroine of this story. While there is the struggle of good vamps versus bad vamps, I like the progression of the story line. I think it is the many characters within in the story that has you looking for to their stories as well. So going back to relisten to some of the details and inter relationships is probably why I would revisit this book for a listen. Plus it just a good escapism. What was one of the most memorable moments of Be Still My Vampire Heart?
I think the transformation, don't really want to say more. Even though for most readers the plot is predicable, it's still an enjoyable lead up to the ending.Which scene was your favorite?
I think when Angus realizes how much he loves ....If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
I think simply "My Vampire Heart"Any additional comments?
Looking forward to the next story in the seriesReally Enjoyable listen

Sadly, however, the previous reviews regarding the perforamance for "Be Still My Vampire Heart" were not wrong. Although the performances in the previous two books were not perfect, they were still good in the fact that the narrators were able to differenate between characters and used accents that matched the characters. Ms. Rawlins, however, has fallen very short in this regard.
Not only does she not deliver the necessary accents, she seldom varies the delivery of each character. Not only is it very hard to determine when one character voice changes to the next, but her overall delivery comes across as flat. I have listened to many different books over the past years, and this performance is not close to what I have come to expect.
I listened to the first three chapters, which is enough to know that I don't want to continue with this book. Fortunately, I have read the book and will be able to move on to the next book in the series without losing any continuity.
Love the Book/Story - Not so Much the Narrator

Where does Be Still My Vampire Heart rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Having read the first two on a Kindle, it was very interesting to listen to an audiobook version of the third. The reader did a fantastic job with all the accents and different "voices" of the characters. The book itself was well written, entertaining and definitely had its juicy bits. All in all a good book.Entertaining!
