About this listen

Beautifully Broken Pieces: Taylor is looking for peace and quiet away from the memories of all she's lost. A small mountain town where no one knows her seems like the perfect escape. Walker loves his life—his town, his family, his brothers in blue. When Taylor's solitude is interrupted by the rugged cop, they find that the very thing they were avoiding might be just what they both need. As their iron wills clash and passion flares . . . a killer lurks.

Beautifully Broken Life: Tessa has finally found a safe haven, hiding in plain sight—as long as no one asks too many questions. Liam knows better than anyone how one wrong word, a single whisper can ruin a life. After seeing the darker side of fame, he's desperate to retreat and find his voice again. Two people from opposite worlds, brought together by an unexpected connection. But the forces they're running from still lurk in the shadows.

Beautifully Broken Spirit: Jensen has shared a special bond with Tuck for as long as she can remember—he's always been her protector. As his best friend's little sister, he's tried to keep her firmly in the friend category. All it takes is one moment of weakness to send Tuck's fiercely guarded walls crumbling to the ground. As a new fire burns between them, someone watches. Someone who doesn't like the new life Jensen's building for herself.

Such a great set of books!

I loved all of them! And three books for the price of one audiobook is such a great deal. Catherine Cowles is a favorite author of mine and these books did not disappoint. I highly recommend!

One word ruined the male character

In Beautifully Broken Life, the male main character was supposed to be from a small town in Georgia, but he pronounced pecan as “pee-can.” That ain’t how we say it… it’s “puh-kahn.”

In Beautifully Broken Spirit, the male main character pronounced Oregon as “or-gone” instead of “or-gen” and that bothered me.

Sweet and enjoyable

Great stories. I listened to all three in a row and they got a little predictable but still enjoyable.

I love the book. Not a fan of the man reading for the man’s part.

LOVED THESE BOOKS!

I enjoyed all three stories. There were a few instances in which I wanted to slap some sense into the main characters, but that is to be expected. They do come to their senses eventually. The narrators did a great job.

LOVE this series!

I love anything and everything Catherine Cowles!

These three books are just another one to add to my list of falling deeply in love with characters from all walks of life and coming out on top. I love the way the characters are interconnected in a way that makes the found family feel like you are in their family as well. I can never correctly guess the villain and I think it makes it that much sweeter in the end.

The narrators did an excellent job bring each character to life in a way that I was invested in each story. They were able to use depth and emotion in the retelling that made me want to keep listening and had me invested and not feeling like an outsider in a work within the book.

Heartwarming Stories

Fantastic read/listen. Books 1 - 3 are included. All three stories were different with very likable main characters. The narrators did a superb job conveying the author’s characters. Alpha male characters who don’t cheat, no angst and strong family bonds. Listened for free through audible but definitely worth a credit. Narrators did a fantastic job.

Tuck and Jensen. childhood friends who discover as adults they need each other as more.

In book 3 of the Sutter Lake series, Forrest Officer, Tracker, and womanizer, Tuck, discovers romantic feelings for his best friend’s little sister he has known all his life. Never believing he was good enough for “Little J” due to his father’s lifestyle and verbal abuse, he stays in the friend zone with Jensen. Until he can’t any longer.

This is another beautifully written and narrated story, a friends to lovers, single mother, with suspense included as in the other Sutter Lake Series books. Tuck not thinking himself worthy after his father’s years of verbal assaults in spite of all the good he does every day, including being a great role model to little Noah, is heartbreaking. Jensen not thinking she could ever trust her emotions after two disastrous relationships, working herself to death to hide her loneliness, is emotionally heart wrenching. They are exactly what the other needs. They just need to recognize that.

It all makes for an absolute must listen.
