Intuitive

The way the author wrote in such detail the exact feelings and exact visions and exact order of the experiences and steps along the journey was amazing. If you are at least an intermediate meditator then this is the book for you to take your practice to the next level/levels. This book has the exact information and details you need to take the next step in your personal development/practice of your meditation practice by breaking down what you should except as your concentration becomes more and more refined and you take steps to enter the next Jahanha.

Horrible Pali pronunciation

The reader must learn to pronounce Pali words correctly and leave more space before and after section headers. He does the same with "In the Buddha's Own Words" by Bhikkhu Bodhi. It is hard to listen to him.

Must have book on Mindfulness

At the beginning of the book, we are told that these teachings are not going to mean giving up your possessions, changing your religion, or promise of supernatural powers. And the author lives up to this promise, and goes beyond expectations. We are given Buddhist techniques that everyone can use to become more mindful and improve concentration.

Very good book for serious meditators

It gives you a practical understanding of Jhana in Theravada Buddhism. The type of jhana that the average Joe can do.

nirvana

not a bad guide regarding mediation as a practice and using it in every day life. The story lost me at the various infinite levels of nirvana. probably not a good book for beginners to zen Buddhism.
