About this listen

This story serves as a direct sequel to Last of a Dying Breed: An Up-Close Look at the Final Stages of Outlaw Country Music, which was narrated by award-winning Christopher Lane. Winston, a music journalist from Nashville, is back again covering more live concerts - but this time, he has switched his sights from outlaw country to groove metal. This time, he finds himself covering two insane concerts, Alice Cooper and Motley Crue, along with Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson.

During the journey, Winston meets plenty of new and very strange people along the way, as well as some very familiar faces. He finds himself in all kinds of odd scenarios and even a very weird run-in with the law. But more importantly, he gets his story along the way. This story is loosely based on actual events, with some names being changed for legal purposes.
