They call her Blister. She's a hideously disfigured 23-year-old woman, living in a shed next to her father's house, hidden away from the world.
Jason Tray is a successful cartoonist, banished to his agent's lakeside cabin for a few days of mandatory rest and relaxation. One night, while hanging out with a couple of the locals at a dive bar, he takes them up on their offer to go "see Blister," having no idea what they're talking about.
He peeks through the window at the most nightmarish thing he's ever seen.
In the morning, he wakes up, hung over and regretful. He's better than this. Does he need to apologize?

If you could sum up Blister in three words, what would they be?
Interesting, Amusing, HeartfeltWho was your favorite character and why?
The main protagonist, Jason. He is funny and likable while maintaining a sense of relatability. How could the performance have been better?
I did not like the narrator's voice for Blister. He sounded unnecessarily breathy and almost attempting to be sultry.Loved this book

This is the best book I have listened to all year, maybe all of last year too. This has been slotted into the horror section, as that is what Strand normally writes. It is more literature, more romance and a lot more humorous, than horror. I applaud all books that include romances with women, who are not beautiful. Strand does this with class. This is not LOL funny as his book Wolf Hunt, the humor is more chuckles, although I found the part where some guys threaten to harm his dog, ended up being, fall on the ground funny. The book is in its fourth hour before anything truly scary happens. If you liked Rachael Vincent's Menagerie or Emma Donoghue's Room, you should enjoy this.

The actual story is pretty good, not quite up there with others like Pressure or even Dweller, but still a pretty good story.
