Publisher's summary

Every love story has an ending. This is mine.

Cashel Blackthorne has been my kidnapper, my tormentor, my protector, and my lover. Now he's shattered us beyond repair.

He sacrificed his freedom to give me mine, only to have our bond completely broken. I lost him just when I truly found him. I need to bring him back to me, to save him from the fate he set for himself, and most of all, to find a cure.

Since all this began, I've been their prey, but the tables have turned, and this time, I'm the hunter. The Blackthorne vampires won't take anything from me again.

Contains mature themes.

Deliciously entertaining!!!

This whole series was so freaking good!!! SO COMPELLING!!! Could not stop listening! K. Loraine is an amazing author and her books never disappoint. Excellent narration by Emma Wilder and Aaron Shedlock and a storyline that will keep you up all night with the Blackthorne vampires. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Even if you think you don’t want to read about vampires this story will prove you wrong. It will pull you in instantly and keep you in its clutches till the very end! I knew immediately I didn’t want it to end. I definitely have a book hangover and will keep this in my favorites and listen again! Thankfully It’s not completely over. I can’t wait to read/ listen to Lucas’s story next. He, without a doubt, deserves his own book!

Angsty series that ended with perfection.

The ups and downs were so worth it after getting to the end. the performances of the narrator's were on point. The story line kept me stressed and interested and needing to get to the end to fund out how their story end, or began so to speak. Love Lucas and can't wait to begin his book. my heart ached and melted for Cash throughout this book. I couldn't imagine the internal battle within Liv over these two amazing men. Logan bugged me in the last two books but this book didn't tear me up as badly.

An excellent way to close out the trilogy.

I have had such a good time listening to these three books, and they've been worth every single penny. The characters had unforeseen depth to them, and I loved how unpredictable the storyline was. I truly didn't know what would happen next, and in the beginning of the book I was shocked to see how things were going for our "Little Bird" and Lucas's role in this book was a pleasant surprise as well. I don't think I'll be continuing on to read the stories of the other male Blackthorns (right now, at least) but I had such a good time listening to these books and I'd recommend them to anyone that loves their adult romance novels mixed with some danger and a good, heavy dose of lusty obsession. Cashel was just the perfect man; he was flawed in many ways of course, but he loved Olivia with a fierceness that blew me away. His love crossed into the realm of obsessed, and it made me swoon a little, to be totally honest. Olivia was smart, resourceful, and kind to a fault, and while most heroines in these kinds of novels usually end up annoying me because they made absolutely horrible decisions, Olivia did the best that she could with the hand she was dealt and you could really see how she grew from the first book. She went from being a meek and terrified young woman to being a strong, clever young queen. If you like vampires and you like romance novels, this trilogy is the one for you, no question about it.

Great conclusion to the trilogy

I really enjoyed this vampire romance trilogy from K. Loraine, narrated well by Aaron Shedlock and Emma Wilder.

K. Loraine crafted a thoroughly engaging trilogy that had you hooked from beginning to end. The story was well-crafted and developed, and had a lot of twists and turns that had you wondering what was going to happen, and had you screaming at your kindle on occasion.

This third and final act is such a roller coaster ride of emotions. it takes a lot for Cashel and Olivia to finally get their happily ever after. The drama and intrigue is really well crafted and well acted.

Aaron Shedlock and Emma Wilder narrated this series beautifully. The emotion that the captured and expressed was the perfect compliment to the story written by K. Loraine.

Relationship status: It’s complicated!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏🌎
Character development: ☺️😉😀😘

The heroine: Olivia Stewart - she was in love with both Cashel and Logan. Though she chose Cashel. She still felt that his family was always put before her in his estimation and due to that she was never safe.

The Hero: Cashel Blackthorne - he strove to overcome the fact that Olivia was with Logan when they were apart. He tried to keep Olivia safe while they were together but failed to do that and everything changed.

The Story: both Cashel and Olivia are nearly killed and they are separated yet again. Both of them being put through different methods of torture and Olivia is forced to do something to survive which will tear them apart on a level they haven’t faced before even when she fell for Logan in Blood Traitor.

Like Blood Captive and Blood Traitor, this book was told in dual points of view via dual narration. The narration is done by Emma Wilder and Aaron Shedlock. Emma Wilder has a soft feminine voice and she portrays anxiety well with her voice. Aaron Shedlock has a sophisticated sounding voice which matched Cashel perfectly.

I don’t want to go to deeply into the events of this book, but there was a lot going on in this one just like in the last two books. There is cheating in a way, but it’s complicated. The one thing I can say is that it certainly wasn’t dull. I have really enjoyed this entire series.

Finally!

I was very satisfied that Lucas was voiced. His character development has been really well so far and now I find myself favoring him. Either way, this story has plenty of twists and it’s enough to keep going!
