About this listen

Being a vampire is a life-or-death situation. When I was first turned, I had only my survival to worry about. Now I'm locked in a battle for the existence of the entire human race - and the cards are definitely stacked against me.

The Voluntary Vampire Extinction Movement headquarters are destroyed, and their pet horror, the Oracle, is on the loose. She'll stop at nothing to turn the world into a vampire's paradise, even if it means helping the Soul Eater become a god and harnessing his power for her own evil ends.

An ancient vampire, a blood-sucking near deity and oh, yeah, my presently human former sire thrown into the mix. I say bring it on. May the best monster win.

Don't miss the rest of the Blood Ties series, including Book One, The Turning, Book Two, Possession, and Book Four, All Souls' Night.©2007 Jennifer Armintrout (P)2007 Audible, Inc.

Definitely different

A very unusual tale that pulls you into it even if you initially think it to be bizarre. There's something about vampire tales that challenge the imagination. The depth of detail in this series blows your mind.

One of my favorite series

The story line is incredible. The characters are believable. The performance is well down. I highly recommend this series.

Thank GOD for the new narrator

I hated the voices used by the last narrator. This was much better.

I liked it better than the second one...

I was a little worried with the second book, so I actually listened to a few others before book three. I enjoyed it more. Kari wasn't as annoying. It also leaves a decent curiousity factor for the next book.

Vampire done right!

I download alot of books that are okay...but, this is a really worthy series (read them all)! This is the third in the series, and way better written than your standard present day vampire tale; the characters are strong (okay, there's a romantic angle thrown in) -- but, the lure is intact (you can tell the writer knows her way around the subject matter), and the plotting will keep you going from start to finish.

Excellent Listen! Want More!

This is an excellent book and series! I must admit I've fallen in love Nathan, Carrie, Max, and the whole crew! I sure hope that she doesn't leave the series here! I want MORE!

This is definately not a Twilight or even Vampire Diaries, not a teen listen for sure, but that is what makes it so great! A vampire series for adults that is compelling and grows on you the more you listen to it! If there is ever another book in the series you can bet I will own it as soon as it is available! I'd go as far as to buy the book and actually read it if it didn't make it to audio right away, and I really hate reading when I can listen to them and not have to curl up with a book all day!

hmmm...

I am going to say that book 1 and 2 were interesting but book 3 played on my nerves so bad that all I could do was pray for completion. I read this series years ago and wanted to relive it through audio. I don't remember being irked so badly by Carrie. Her character just about killed the book for me the other characters kept the story going. All the confusion, childishness, stupidity, and just plain nonsense Carrie's character showed made me want to end it and forget about book 4,but I'm so nosy and have to know the conclusion that I will suffer through Carrie and hope the other characters and details will overshadow her. In all the story and narration was good.

overall a good series

I am a fan of the supernatural such as vamps, werewolves, and witches so this kept me interested. The performance is well done even always using accents for certain characters she did great However I didn't care for all the se**ual descriptions and grape (remove the g) that the author felt the need to include. I'm going onto book 4 because I came this far might as well finish 😂
