Family friendly fun that was perfect for a mindless work commute

My main complaint is the main character's self-deprecations. It's over the top and doesn't really play a part in the character's development, but rather just creates problems so the storyline can develop... which is a choice.
The resolve is, while predictable, lighthearted and happy. This is a sweet story and is perfect for a commute or something to listen to for the whole family.

Cozy AF, terrific narration

The narrator really did a good job of giving me a specific perspective of the characters. I felt like because of their acting choices, the characters really came alive. The plot is very low stakes, cozy fantasy that feels like a hug.

A cute comfort listen

This book is well written, but obviously very short, don’t go in expecting too much intrigue or drama. It’s just not that kind of story. What is it then? A story about a talented young woman learning to be confident in herself and discovering that she may in fact deserve more than she’d let herself believe. It’s something great to put on while cleaning for a day or relaxing with a project. The narrator is amazing, but there were one or two moments where I distinctly heard a dip in recording quality. They were brief and she was awesome, so I’m not knocking off performance. Also the food descriptions are mouthwatering, my only regret with getting the audible version is not having the recipes at the back of the book.

This puts the coz in cozy!

This was just a hug for my brain. Like a well done Hallmark movie you can guess how a lot of how the story will go but it still has surprises. Refreshingly heartfelt relationship and the characters already have me excited for the next in the series because I want to know more about her friends and future endeavors.

Baking and Magic? Yes Please!!

This book is uncommonly aggravating and fantastic at the same time. Bringing baking into magic is just genius but aggravating at the same time. Friends, baking, magic, love, and a hint of suspense bring this whole story together and I'm begging for the next in the series.

Baking and Books!? What could go wrong?

This book was so cute, fun, cozy, you name it. It made me laugh, nearly cry, be frustrated/upset, a whole range of emotions! I also love how the FMC's "magic" worked vs the other species. As a baker, I just loved how the bakes were described in detail, I could really connect with the character and the food because of it. Really, I loved this book and highly recommend it for others who love cozy novels or the inclusion of baking in your books!
Also, the narrator was top notch and definitely made the book feel so realistic!

Cozy and sweet

Cozy with a very anxious lead, so if thst bothers you...to bad, i just felt seen.
I loved it, Miniscule nitpick: had to get used to how the leads name was pronounced by the narrator. Was sure she said "A letter" for the longest time.

the story was heartwarming, so cozy, sweet and found family feels. also made want to eat all the baked goods and I will most assuredly read the next book. !!! Loved it
