Fun for everyone

Great mix of Americana with scifi Tech. Character interactions are sweet if sometimes a little repetitive. The flight gets a little repetitive too but it’s worth putting up with for the stories. Sometimes the main characters accent is a bit too much for me. I was two books in before I realized he was saying Max when I sometimes thought he was return referring to “my ex.” but I listened straight on through with pleasure.

Entertaining escapism

Finally a positive encounter with ETs. I felt apart of the team, with every rescue. Gives me hope for mankind

it is great when a reader's voice matches what you heard when you read the book.

fun book, greasy performance

it's not bad. entertaining enough to keep going, but the story is repetitive and fairly predictable after a while.

it is repetetive

light humor, good story... great narrator.!! Can't say enough good things. will be reading or listening to all the rest of the books if they are half as good a the preceding ones.

light

The premise is good, the performance is great. But the repetitions seem designed to help listeners follow while barely paying attention.

I enjoyed this (& previous pack) via the audible plus catalog, but I'm hesitant to go further since the percentage of Bob explaining previous plots seems to be climbing as we go. Maybe take a page out of Ringo's book (pun intended) and open up the books with the brochure any new characters would receive? If I was reading this in print I'd just defocus and skim until the re-re-re-re-explanation of "what's a dog?" was done. Can't do that in audio.

Fun but getting repetitive

I got this as a free book when I was out of credits not necessarily expecting much, but it turned out to be one of my recent favorites. I described it as “feel good science fiction.” There’s a definite good ol’ boys feeling to the earth characters but don’t let that fool you, these guys are sharp as a tack. And the story line definitely kept my interest throughout. Give it a try and have some fun.

The humor
