Yes, please!!!

What a great listen this was!!!!

I absolutely loved that the main characters were older ad seriously in charge! This was a great listen with a cleverly crafted whodunnit. I'm not sure if I could have figured it out sooner but I was too busy enjoying the mystery to even try.

I loved the narrator! She was more youthful than I would have thought but she delivered some very engaging performances. Loved it!

Enjoyable

I like to listen to audiobooks while I work. If the storyline is easy to follow I can listen while I work and not lose much. I seemed to lose a bit of this story now and then and needed to go back to listen again. I eventually figured that each chapter doesn't follow into the next, and often starts with a "new" story leaving you a little lost at first However, I did enjoy the storyline in end, even if I found it predictable.

street justice

The female detective incensed me!! Her treatment of people was appalling, improper. and disgusted me. I was glad that "evil" was finally stopped permanently. Simon was a hero in my eyes. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job.

Pretty Good

This is the first book i have read in this series. The story line was good, The killer at the end kinda surprised me. I received this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

The narrator, Karen Gundersen did a good job with the characters.

An interesting cozy murder mystery

*I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.*

3.5 stars

This is a cozy mystery story in which it is not very likely you dislike the main character, an elderly lady who's part of a group of investigators that seem much more effective than the police.

Probably it is not so for everybody, but I found it too predictable. Since they stated the underlying story between one of the main characters and the deceased, I had no doubt the murderer was going to be somebody from that family. This diverted my attention while listening, but also helped me focus on the small events taking place along the way.

Karen Gundersen turned out to be a good narrator. She made a few different voices, but I could not tell the difference for some of the side characters or eventual ones. She kept an appropriate pace and read naturally from beginning to end. I've found many narrators to use a close to robotic voice for the narrated sections, but she was thankfully not one of these.

I believe this book was, for a cozy mystery audiobook, a tiny bit too long.

Don't misunderstand. I do not, by any means, state here I wouldn't recommend it. I certainly would.

Good Cozy Mystery

Wendy Atlas is working undercover on a case for the M Falcon Detective Agency. When someone is murdered, and she is listed as the prime suspect, she has no choice but to reach out to her friends to get their help. When it turns out her potential love interest’s daughter might be responsible, Wendy is thrown down a rabbit hole of mystery and deception.

Wendy is definitely an interesting character. She was very animated and a humorous addition to a murder mystery. The POV bounces around a bit, and we’re introduced to a lot of characters who bring their own unique little character quirks into the story.

Interesting little cozy mystery, great for a rainy day.

Narration was okay.

Good Fun

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and all opinions expressed herein are my own.

This is the second book in the M Falcon Mystery series. It is a standalone book with no cliff hanger ending. I have not read the previous book and had no trouble following the flow of the narrative or the characters motivations.

I found the MCs to be likeable, feisty, endearing, and very enjoyable. There is some fun humor sprinkled throughout. The POV does change - which initially threw me a bit but once you get used to it, it's fine.

The narrator, Karen Gunderson, did a very good job. She made the characters very engaging, although they did sound a bit youthful.
