Mindfulness meditation is really helpful for a state of mind such as described above, but there are times when I'm just not into trying to meditate. My mind is a jumbled mess and I was just looking for something that was relaxing yet positive to listen to.
I've found that this audio book works supremely well at relaxing me (as the music is very soothing), and it also quiets my mind, as powerful positive affirmations are being picked up by my subconscious while I am in a relaxed state of mind.
I've used this audio book to go from a stressed-out and restless state of mind, to a peaceful and serene state of mind, and drifted off to sleep much more easily.
I'd recommend these over any other subliminal audios, because in order for something to be truly subliminal, your conscious mind is supposed to be oblivious to the suggestion. The only other product I've found that is similar is by Subliminal Guru; this one is better (in my opinion) however, because instead of being broken up into 5 or 6 different music tracks, it's all just one long soothing and relaxing music track, full of powerful subliminal affirmations.
