Mostly common sense with s few gems
Most of the stuff is fairly common sense, but there are a few gems sprinkled in & I appreciate all the free resources the author has on her website that is linked in the accompanying PDF workbook that comes with this audio book.

amazing book that makes you really think
I truly believe this book will allow me to have more healthy communication with the mother of my child. she may not be able to take accountability for her words but I have so much more control over what I say and do now that I know that people don't make you mad or sad. you get mad or sad because certain words or an event is relatable to something in the past that hurt you. every black man who has a stressful relationship with the mother of their child should read this asap!!

That in difficult or hurtful experiences I can not only bounce back but bounce forward in my life journey.
I loved the hope this podcast instilled in me that with effort I can make peace with disappointments and hurt that exists within me. Not only can I make peace with it but I can be grateful for the wisdom gained from pain and move forward a stronger human being.

hopeful, helpful to feel unstuck
I think it summarizes the essence of how to bounce forward. It can help you think differently about the struggles and help one feel unstuck in my opinion. I felt encouraged while listening to it. I realized halfway through there's a corresponding workbook on her website.
