About this listen

Fitting into the Old World isn't going very well for Boulder boundary witch Allison "Lex" Luther: she may have earned a place in a vampire's service, but now it seems as if every supernatural creature in town has found a reason to hate her. And when Lex and her partner are assigned to investigate the suspicious disappearance of two vampires during the night of the full moon, they find themselves with more questions than answers.

Was it murder...or mutiny?

The crusade for answers will lead Lex all over the Colorado Old World, from a prison cell for a broken werewolf to a haunted Denver brothel. And when Lex determines the responsible party, the hunt is just beginning: something has been awakened in Boulder, something as old and powerful as it is terrifying. Only the woman with death in her blood can stop what's coming.

So Much Better!!!

What did you like about this audiobook?

Overall I really enjoyed this book.

It like the rest of Mrs. Olson's work it is well paced, has great characters, rich world building, and over all is unique is a genre were things tend to bleed together.

The first book was good but it still left me with a "that could have been better" feeling. This one on the other hand I can say I enjoyed as much as the Scarlett series.

That being said, Mrs. Olson hit one of my bigger pet-peeves as she wrote Lex's trip to L.A. (were the Scarlett series takes place) in a side story. Had I not already read this story on Kindle Unlimited I would be fairly P.O.ed but Boundary Lines was good enough to make up for this. So those of you that are hoping to see the Lex and Scarlett team-up than this is not the book for you.

How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?

No but it did remind me why I love urban fantasy.

What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?

There are two thing I found wrong with Kate Rudd performance

One: She can be a little to very melodramatic, most of these moments are when Lex is distressed and make Lex sound more distressed than she might other wise.

Two: Her accent can be distracting naming in one character who is supposed to have a British accent sounding like she's from the bronx.

Do you have any additional comments?

I have say I really enjoyed this book.

I said in my review of Boundary Crossed that Lex while just as developed was not as enjoyable as Scarlett.mainly because of she lacks the friends that show her more light-hearted side and I stand by that.

In Boundary Lines she has friends like Simon, Lily, Quinn and oddly enough (for me anyway) Maven. Thus I saw her more relaxed and at times wise@$$ side that made the book so much more enjoyable.

I can honestly and happily say if are a fan of urban fantasy this would an awesome choice to add to your library.

Loved this book.

I loved Book 1 and find myself loving Book 2 as much or more. The characters are so interesting. The reader has done a great job of bringing the story and characters to life.

Great 2nd book in this investigative UF series

This was the second book in the Boundary Magic series by Olson. I really enjoyed this book, this has been a solid urban fantasy series that has a good storyline and makes for an entertaining read.

I listened to this on audiobook and the audiobook is well done. The narrator does a great job with characters voices and portraying emotion. I would recommend listening to on audiobook if you enjoy audiobooks.

This book is mainly a mystery, Lex is trying to solve a couple mysteries. The first mystery involves the disappearance of two vampires on the night of a full moon. The second mystery involves a mysterious regurgitated pellet found in the forest; it is huge and contains human remains. I enjoyed how these mysteries were unwound and ended up intertwining.

The larger story about Lex’s Boundary Witch status and her magic capabilities also continues and makes some progress. I also continue to enjoy Lex’s military background and the unique perspective that gives her on things.

There are a variety of interesting characters in here that I enjoyed reading about. I also enjoyed the addition of ley line magic and crazy mythical creatures.

Overall this was a great addition to this urban fantasy series. I continue to enjoy the story, the mystery, the magic, and the characters. If you are a fan of investigative urban fantasies I would recommend checking this series out.

Wow!!!!

I really adored this book. I was intensely hooked onto this book. I listened to it for long stretches at a time. If I had more time to work with, I would have probably finished it all in one sitting. I was so invested in knowing what would happen in the end. For those of you new to this "series", please note that it is three trilogies. I would recommend you read all trilogy sets in order. I read the third on first. I was unaware that there were two other trilogies. The second I realized there was, though, I picked up the other two and have been working on reading them. I fully recommend this author and this "series" of books. The narrator is fantastic. The author knows how to captivate. And who wouldn't love a strong and sassy heroine???? I can relate to both of the strong sassy heroines at that!

Great read!

Im loving this series! I love how the author pulls you in and gets these characters souls into the books she writes. I love the twist at the end. I was not expecting that at all and love a good twist. Can't wait to read the next one.

Lex evolves!

I like how Lex is evolving into an intermediate boundary witch. I am also liking Quinn and Lex together. I hope there will be more to this series.
