Publisher's summary
Offering hope to a world in turmoil, Breathing Love is a spiritual guide to living love as an embodied meditation practice. Uniting us in a universally understandable goal, Jennie Lee builds immediate bridges of peace by changing how we look at love; from something to be acquired and preserved, to something to be realized and breathed.
Active conscious loving is the basis of the meditation practices offered in Breathing Love, providing you with inner solace and a deep sense of purpose. Whether in a relationship or not, in the prime of life or nearing death, you'll be encouraged to move beyond the pain, pride, and fear that keep you from love.
Part One offers compassionate wisdom for expanding the experience of love within yourself and asks you to contemplate what might be keeping you from full capacity loving. It also explores the difference between your usual yet limited sense of self, and your unified greater Self, experienced through compassionate action and divine kindness.
Part Two asks you to consider that your truest life purpose lies in offering a more expansive, less personal love into every relationship and circumstance of daily life. It also addresses periods of self-evaluation, such as during major life transitions and near the end of life, and how you can embrace these with peaceful resolve, and leave a legacy of pure love behind.
Through intimate personal stories from Jennie's own life, you'll feel deeply assured that this call to love in action is possible no matter what life presents. Using the meditative practices given in each chapter is easy, whether you're a seasoned practitioner or new to meditation. Each of these creates greater spiritual intimacy within yourself and more authentic connection with others. By making life a meditation of breathing love, not only will you find yourself, but you will find all the love you ever desired.
Key Themes include:
- How to live fearlessly in the consciousness of love
- How to develop receptivity to divine love through meditation
- How to know and live from one's most loving self
- How to practice love in daily life
- How to integrate spirituality and physical life through conscious loving
- How to overcome the ego and access the soul for greater peace
- How to love beyond one's current limitations
- How to have a deeper relationship with the Source of all love
- How to spiritualize relationships through more unconditioned love
- How to experience non-personal love for all beings
- How to find ultimate purpose in living a love directed life

Story
Although clinical research has been conducted on narcissism as a disorder, less is known about its effects on victims who are in toxic relationships with partners with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Individuals with this disorder engage in chronic devaluation and manipulation of their partners, a psychological and emotional phenomenon known as "narcissistic abuse". Unfortunately, the full extent of what narcissistic abuse entails is not taught in any psychology class or diagnostic manual.

Based on seven years of ground-breaking research and hundreds of interviews, I Thought It Was Just Me shines a long-overdue light on an important truth: Our imperfections are what connect us to each other and to our humanity. Our vulnerabilities are not weaknesses; they are powerful reminders to keep our hearts and minds open to the reality that we're all in this together.

Loved loved loved this
Did I say I loved it? Content, her voice and performance. I’ve had a tough 4 years with all kinds of losses. Been feeling so alone and stuck. I AM love, so I don’t need to ‘get it’ from anyone. Appreciated her honesty and openness.
I’m going to replay it now.

A beautiful book about real love
This a very well written and recorded book about true love the one in all of us and the only one that matters.
It is written through the metaphor of Yoga but is very valuable even if you don’t practice yoga.

A very good presentation
The presenter (Jennie Lee) offers a LOT of good ideas on how to establish and maintain daily meditation and/or breathwork practice. Would've liked to experience a bit more practice meditations during the presentation; in spite of that, was very impressed with the content of audiobook.

Death isn't liberation.
As someone who has experienced a lifetime of torture for living in love, she has no clue about love. She describes denial often as love. Psychopaths and sociopaths live on the benefit of the people who hold some of these beliefs. The story is really a 2 for it's irresponsible portyal. l gave it a 3 because of the importance of the topic. We all need to love more. We don't need to love predators. I'm personally the victim of predators who hide themselves as loving human beings in the thin line between love and hate, which is ultimately naivete and denial, for the intentional deceptive practices on preying on other human beings. Those people exist and want to hurt you. Those people exist and hurt me every day, several times a day. I walk into a restaurant and am complained to about things that have nothing to do with me. I've discovered one of the greatest things in humanity. Instead of being embraced with love, curiosity, respect, and encouragement, I'm embraced by followers of a psychopathic billionaire who feel entitled to blame me for the poor results of their life choices on the exploitation, hacking, and objectification of my life. They don't blame with words. They blame through hacks, identity theft, digital identity theft, defamation, publishing my location so people can intentionally hurt me or intentionally run into my car or the creation of news stories mocking my health and well being, profiting off of me illegally while leaving me financially destitute and tortured in any act of self-respect as I seek to resolve that destitution.
I walk into a restaurant and elitists mock and disrespect me for their entertainment. The billionaire and his cronies feel entitled to my life and my discovery so he hides behind his platitudes that no one questions because he's wealthy. I once made a comment about how I thought I was going to be used for Uber rides as a part of an experience, similar to Siri. The Facebook employee who incited this conversation, while working with Twitter, chose to fan that moment for explorative purposes in order to mock me. Now, I walk into a Grubstake and hear passive aggressive complaints about AirBnb sheets because a woman decided that the exploitation of my thoughts and predictive analysis, without my permission, is okay and therefore she has a right to blame me for someone else's choices to exploit my life. Her, and those who do the same, are dissatisfied because someone who distorts and exaggerates my life after unconsentingly exploiting and objectifying the most personal and intimate details of my human existence aren't shaped to her satisfaction of bed seats. She shoves her food in her mouth as I'm continued to be tortured being denied access to earn income, to have a healthy mind, a healthy life, and healthy relationships without stalking, exploitation, or abuse. My child was kidnapped and being taken advantage of by people who chose to participate in the same exploitation. These psychopaths and sociopaths spread their pathology. Sharing my love of the wealthy a$$holes visual perception of displayed in his social media was a carefully crafted social media post meant to spread torture and hate from him and the people associated with him. His "loving" picture was hacker bait. Pointing this out only increases their dopamine to continue on their hate fueled path of torturing me. They convince others to hurt me or torture me, preying on these types of vulnerabilities of others. My income and finances are attacked. When I act responsibly, these people play mind games in order to torture me. When I create a loving space for myself, they infiltrate my private space with their torture, hatred, abuse, and psychopathy. I won't even say what they do to my child. The words alone are torture.
This white male billionaire who destroys my life with himself and his friends is bigoted in his psychopathy. Part of his psychological game, besides pulling people into torture me, is to make people believe I'm not worthy of being followed. The other is a game of financial destitute. False bills and charges. Intentionally overloading my finances. Intentionally denying me opportunities or manipulate coworkers and/or managers into abusing me at work so my mental health will decline if I don't quit, knowing the governor uses his agencies to bring harm to my life.
There's a part of his psyche that knows it is immoral to use people for personal gain by suppressing them through financial and emotional deprivation. He doesn't feel remorse so the feeling is irrelevant only the potential conflict on how could affect him. He uses my life to feed his bigoted desires to date only underage androgynous looking black women. He lives in a world that is prodominantly Asian and white except for the service people who are black. He used my past being raised by black people and having roots from Africa (no, humans don't all come from Africa even though a lot do. These beliefs end up becoming the premise for ironic dismissiveness when the goal is empowerment through awareness) as permission to exploit my identity because I'm not a political party he believes all black people should be associated with. He uses donations as a means to humiliate me or manipulate others around me in order to treat me horrible. In one donation attempt I could see the pity he had for this group, who happened to black. He believes in suppressing my identity, he can use my influence in order to find a girlfriend. He uses the digital identity of people from my past, mostly, if not all girls about 15 years old. He finds women who have similar interests because he wants the woman to be emotionally immature as well as look like a minor. This is his way of dating underage women without getting caught. He chooses a specific race not because those are people he has grown up around or is surrounded by socially, he chooses them for his pity and his belief in their weakness. His psychopathy is a reverse game of bigotry. He pretended the game was a game of love in order to use me to gain trust from people that I engage with. He exploited my love for his entertainment as well as being able to find underage male looking women. When I get a job he abuses the people around me so they will torture me. When I work part time or work for myself, he abuses or manipulates the people I contract with. He hacks my devices or has others do the same to destroy my life and sense of self worth. He doesn't care about the psychological damage being financially destitute has on my life. His joy comes from my pain. He picks bad people from my past who abused me in order to torture me. In all of the years of loving myself and learning to be self affirmed, he decided it was his responsibility to destroy my hard work and any opportunity I had to take care of myself. He hides behind the deceptive veil of caring and all l have to do is take care of myself and I won't be tortured. ln reality that is the game of a psychopath. They move in actions (by words, manipulation of others, or non verbal cues) to indicate that you are causing your own misery and therefore self care and love are the answer. When you take care of yourself, they knock you down to torture you. He manipulates my grocery deliveries through hacking the dispatch systems of who will deliver the order. When I find people who are nice to me or treat me well, he finds ways to manipulate me or those around me so that I will disown what I need for my well being. The entanglement of constantly feeling like all I have to do is take care of myself followed by the manipulation of others in order to abuse me. After writing this and almost having a heart attack, the community he manipulates and the dispatch system for my groceries I use decided that I hadn't been abused enough. They would continue to manipulate and abuse everything around me that I need to feel healthy and strong. Jack Dorsey believes he can find a woman to fulfill his paedophiliac desires by hacking and torturing me. He tortures me as an excuse. The federal government, the governor of California, and first responders aid in his torture and manipulation of my life.
He does this using personalized interactions with the people he associates with. If anyone watches him he has plausible deniability, no different than others who've done the same. In other words another game is the inability to prove it and who boosts through his clever manipulation. The word games, the hacks, the manipulation of others, they denial of my individual thoughts so people feel comfortable in treating me in a way that is detrimental to my health, etc are all apart of his self affirming scheme. My use of my phone is really him and people have a right to hack me according to the false manipulation he's laid out.
His justification in continuing his torture of my life and his manipulation of others around me is the same as every psychopath, which is his mind convincing him I'm easily manipulated therefore it's okay to denigrate me to less than human, or what he calls pets. There is no amount of love that can accept what this person does to me and change my life back into a state of love.
His first act of his psychopathic terror was to create a beautiful message with a picture of a woman helping a man with a head massage. This was a cold callous way of turning my work of reframing past abuse by adults who abandoned me and abused me into love. Instead of my impression of a woman helping a man, his influence was to let people know I took over his brain. He convinced people that my discovery was taken over his brain and my channels of positive attributes of the people who were harmful to me as a child was open season for everyone to take credit in every act and step of wellbeing, intelligence, love, and integrity in my life. Every act of terror, abuse, stalking, and hacking was justifiable by the lie that my discovery took over people's brains. My mental and physical health are in such decline from actual torture, I will never be able to climb out. His goal was to claim my discovery as his own. My life, my son's life, my livelihood, my son's livelihood, my privacy, my son's privacy, my finances, my mental health, my son's mental health, on the decline were all collateral damage.
I've gone to the FBI and local police. They don't care. They want money or something else continuing the reinforcement of my illegal hacking, exploitation, and torture. The governor of my state is a sociopath who exploits the exploitations and regularly uses his state agencies to exploit, abuse, hack, stalk, and torture me.He used laundered federal money to win an election so he can continue to torture me. He dog whistles his supporters to hurt me. One of his voters used illegally published location data to intentionally run into my car. This act to him and people like him is dismissed because they think stuff isn't important. I see a woman who used a weapon to take her anger out on an unsuspecting person. I see a woman who follows Gavin Newsom and believes she is self-righteous in her physical act of harm because Gavin Newsom dog whistled for her to do so. I see the illegal publication of my data and Gavin Newsom using people to bring further harm to my life as I seek to affirm my own sense of self worth through self employment.
These people pretend to care about my well-being generally before or after they begin to torture me for their agenda. Mean while my finances are destroyed, people around me are harassed into abusing me, elections are stolen, and I'm in danger everyday. I want to kill myself but the only thing that is stopping me is the idea that I wouldn't kill someone else so I'm not sure why taking my life would be any different. The president of the United States enables Gavin Newsom. I was tortured in order to support him using fear and control torture techniques. Since the president supports the governor, the governor can harm whomever he wants without fear of consequences or accountability. People were killed by his corruption but yet he remains in office.
Celebrities continue to support this governor as small businesses die, regulations increase and my ability to earn an income decreases. I took a count one day on the amount of interference in my life. 12 times in one isolated hour on a slow Sunday people interfered with my life, against my will. There's no business or financial compensation from this. No one's buying my candles or bath products as a result of my exploitation. They destroy me for fun and the regulators join in on the fun. They want to promote liberalism and make freedom loving people seem crazy as they psychologically terrorize and abuse those people, as they use their positions of trust and power to bring harm to those under them and steal their petty finances that mean nothing more than the purge style entertainment. From the moment I got a job, Gavin Newsom, technocrats, and their cronies stole my income. That includes the company I was employed by. When the abuse was too much for mental health, I worked for myself. They decided to dog whistle people to bring harm to my life and finances. These people are psychopaths and sociopaths that aren't worthy of my love.
Dark psychology is as important as this book in order to understand those who want to hurt you. There is no love in these people's hearts as they have tortured me for years. Believing that these types of people have love would've led me to an early death, if it hasn't already.
