Good Learning Source

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Taking online yoga teacher certification course has been challenging. This resource reinforced what I learned and was easy to digest with my prior learning The Eight Limbs experience. I think even a complete beginner would benefit from it too because it was straight forward and gave examples of how to practice The Eight Limbs of Yoga.

Life changing

I randomly found this book when I started my healing journey. I already did yoga (asana) but it was really life changing to learn the full philosophy. I really do think this book “awakened my spirit”. I’ve even applied for a yoga teacher training!

Excellent Material; Narrative Takes Away From It

Right off, I was put off by the author’s reading. It was dull, unenthusiastic and boring. It could not have been anymore monotone. This alone, is why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5.

It was the subject itself that made this (barely) worth getting through. The majority of people only see yoga as postures. But the principles of yoga goes much, much deeper. This book explains the other 7 ‘limbs’ of yoga in a way that isn’t shrouded in dogma or esotericism. The author explains the limbs in such a way that the layperson can truly incorporate the principles into their own lives.

This will sound surprising given my review, however, I am looking forward to listening to this book again. I just wish the author would have let a professional voice actor do the reading.
