About this listen

This is the nine-book series of comedy-mysteries featuring the tough and crass "unscrupulous bastard" himself - a rude, wise-cracking private detective who happens to be a hugely successful ladies' man, thanks largely to what he immodestly refers to as his "Adonis-like features".

In a series of tales involving murder, blackmail, and other assorted acts of violence and deceit, Brett learns the hard way that there's a steep price to be paid for being such an unscrupulous bastard - and listeners may very well feel that he gets exactly what he deserves, and more!

Not recommended for the politically-correct crowd.

Once you accept vulgar as a form of entertainment, you’ll get a big kick from this series.
Both the Author, David D’Aguanno, and the Narrator, Travis Henry Carter, did an amazing job with character development and Travis Henry Carter’s many voices makes it all too easy to forget it’s the same person reading all the characters. Both are very talented. May you have continued success to you both in the future.

I would hope they would consider working together on a different story line, appropriate for Children supporting ideals and skills for single parent children.

Thank you everyone for the hours of entertainment you have provided me.

Think Andrew Dice Clay as an entertainment This review is for the whole series.

These books are not for the stiff hearted. You MUST have a sense of humor to get into these books.

Now with that being said these books are hilarious. Brett Cornell is a scrupulous bastard. He is gross, mean, sexist, and a pompous jerk. The things that happen to him he mostly deserves. It is really neat to see him grow through the books. I don’t like giving to much away but Ginger changes him. I hope that you enjoy these as much as I did. Let loose and have fun with these books. I can’t wait till the 10 book is written!

Definitely not for the politically-correct crowd. Brett Cornell IS a self-described unscrupulous bastard so if you're easily offended, these might not be your cup of tea. The writing by David D'Aguanno is brought to life by the very talented Travis Carter. The writing and narration set the stage for this "place" and "time" where Brett Cornell's world can exist with sarcasm, dry wit and salacious "endeavors".

Brett Cornell, Unscrupulous? YES!

In this entire series some Audio books are more entertaining then others but they all are fun and will entertain most listeners.

The main character is an old fashioned Testosterone blazing Macho Man who will bring giggles to any listener who enjoys writing that is witty and in harmless fun.

The Narrator is wonderful in capturing the main character and often seems the main character.

Concluding, You get great value in having the whole series with one credit..... this is a Series that will give you hours
of entertainment.

Narrator Travis Henry Carter brings this story to life as we ride-along with the original Unscrupulous Bastard Detective Brett Cornell! It's no holds barred for Brett in this epic series.

Terrible story. Maybe it was supposed to have humor but it totally missed the mark as far as I am concerned.

There is nothing redeemable in this mess. Badly written? Check. Prepubescent? Check. The author and publisher lack shame. Remember “shame”? Among other things, an inability to feel personal debasement is considered a piece of a sociopath’s mental luggage. One wonders if David D’Aguanno’s personality might be easily diagnosed by anyone who’s psychological training went no farther than a quick read of any one issue of “Psychology Today.” Halfway into the first book in this collection I wondered if this crud’s publisher was known for producing “The Art of Spitting Fat, Gooey, Lugies”. If I’m right, then this series is a deep leap down. The story and narrative has no bottom. The Brent Cornell Mysteries, will make a teenage cretin feel scummy.

Travis Henry Carter apparently had few alternative offers and some publishing pimp put him out onto the book-reading street to narrate execrable eliminations like this. I hope it hasn’t closed off his ability to ever get a decent job. His application for honorable work though will always carry the stench of what he read here.

I’m returning this.

Lewd, repugnant, vulgar... oh, and awful
