This one leaves you feeling uplifted

The characters are well developed and the narrator really helps pull you into the story. Very satisfied.

Short and sweet

Yes, this is clearly a Devil Wears Prada fanfic, but it's very well written, it's engaging, and it's absolutely fun. It's also narrated beautifully. The only big flaw is that it's too short. It would have been better to separate it a bit more from the film it's based on by spending the first chapters showing a new setting in time and place, or maybe with a more substantial middle section, but I'm just being picky.

I definitely recommend it if you want to read a short and sweet book.

One of my favorite books

This is one of my very favorite books. Overall I feel like this audiobook was fantastic. I had a few minor issues with the narration, but overall it was still wonderful. This is a book I will definitely listen to more than once.

great story

Radley's writing never fails. just exceptional.

There are some stories that Emily Beresford 's narrating lends itself to, but imo, this is not one of them. still, a good job.

I loved the redemptive story!

Fashion magazine editor Victoria and her second assistant Holly are a very unlikely pair. This is one of the most enjoyable age-gap stories I've read because the characters were so well written. After suffering a traumatic brain injury that totally affected her memory, Holly doesn't remember how horribly her boss treated her in the past. It's a slow burn, second chance, redemptive story. I really enjoyed it!

Radley take on The devil wears P storyline

I've just found this author and I am truly enjoying the variety of novels she offers.
In this book I found the story line very familiar although a little twist on the story as it takes place AFTER the fashion show instead of during.

Holly is the 2nd administrative assistant and I loved her story. It was facinating making me read to see what happened and what will happen. Loved it.

Emily Beresford narrated this book fantastically. I'll check out her others. What a fun take and her choice of the main character voices were perfect as well as the kids. I think she has some sort of multiple personality syndrome to affect these so well. But I'm not calling that a flaw. Nice to hear your voices Emily.

Victoria, "the supposed devil", was never a bi-atch This was probably the only tiny flaw that I could detect in the story line. She should have been shown as a little more unlikable initially but was mostly just demanding and precise.

2ndary characters like the kids and the best friend from the magazine are delightful and fun and play important roles in the plot. I really liked this book and only wished for a little bit more romance to be written in. Victoria has all these moments of insecurity where she should have at least considered a mature reaction to the sexual attraction. But she always backed off.

I loved the straddle scene. It was poignant and totally believable and fed the romance beautifully.

Thanks A. E. Radley.

The devil wears Prada with a twist

The twist is the whole point and that is why I loved this book. Well written, excellent narration.
