Publisher's summary

Vitus Adamson is falling apart. As a pre-deceased private investigator, he takes the prescription Atroxipine hourly to keep his undead body upright and functioning. Whenever he is injured, he seeks Niko, a bombshell mortician with bedroom eyes and a way with corpses, to piece him back together. Decomposition, however, is the least of his worries when two clients posing his most dangerous job yet appear at his door looking for their lost son. Vitus is horrified to discover the photo of the couple's missing son is a picture-perfect reproduction of his long dead son. This leads him to question the events of his tormented past; he must face the possibility that the wife and child he believed he murdered ten years ago in a zombie-fugue have somehow survived - or is it just wishful thinking designed to pull him into an elaborate trap? Unfolding like a classic film noir mixed with elements of a B-movie, Bring Me Flesh, I'll Bring Hell is an imaginative spin on the hard-boiled detective genre and a new twist on the zombie novel. In Vitus Adamson, you will find a protagonist you can care about and invest in as he takes you through his emotional journey of betrayal and quest for redemption.

Great

I love the stories of Vitus, write some more Mr. Rose and the narrator is great. Would definitely recommend these books, so far I've listened to both of the books about Vitus this one and My Loaded Heart, My Lonely Heart

A really great story

A new spin on the whole hard boiled detective trope, with a fun cool story that never takes itself too seriously. Narrator also kills it. It’s obviously not Shakespeare, it’s a zombie detective. Would highly recommend

Gruesome and morbid

it's a great super hero book but the origin story is long and gruesome.

what a great and unique zombie story! I totally loved it and hope for more from this author. it's nice to read a book that doesn't follow the same old storyline

fun listen

the novice spin on zombies was fun. It did seem to go on longer than needed and some things glossed over, but still a fun story to listen to.

A clunky lurker of a story that’s easy to escape

A funky story that first grabs your attention with a couple fast & rarely utilize tropes of the occult sci-fi genre. But the holes in the authors skills soon show like a Zombie’s rotted flesh under daylight.
The elements of the plot that initially interest you are left to hang loose without being properly fleshed out & developed to ending, the writing makes for a Clunky narration due to too much embellishment at times, & then the development out of the blue, of elements taken starting at what would probably be a good midway point, & developed to a climax, that leaves the reader disappointed.
Also, way too much undead drama. The novel in its later chapters is almost a male version of twilight, as the characters are way too emo & relationships are romanticized to points that are not really even slightly believable.

This one, in later chapters, becomes the worst type of Zombie: one you keep putting down, but it keeps returning as your unable to finish it quickly.
