Publisher's summary

Mark Reid, with his brother, Alex, are building a dynasty of power. One in corporate offices and tall sky-scraper buildings, the other through the elite social club of a high society golf and country club where the ridiculously rich can golf, talk business and hit a few balls.

With Jamie more at home that at work, Alex finds himself longing to be with her instead of focusing on the billion-dollar empire he's built. Trying to figure out some sort of balance, he realizes one of the two things he loves will suffer no matter what he does - family or Reid Enterprise.

Meanwhile, Mark's country club is attracting interest of every CEO and socialite around. Excited at how fast it's growing Mark follows his brother's work ethic even though he can barely keep up. His professional golfer, Erika, is doing whatever she can to help it succeed. Jealousy runs high between the two of them as over-work and beautiful, rich men and woman flirt inside the country club.

The brother's competitive nature begins to drive a wedge between the two of them and when a sneaky underdog decides taking down Reid Enterprise is his top priority; Alex is left in a vulnerable position. When the tables turn, Mark might be the only one who can save his brother this time, but will they fall back to old habits and push each other away?

How far are you willing to go for your brother? How much are you willing to risk?

pretty good read

I like the story however whoever edited and produced the audio should be fired. I found it difficult to listen with all the blatant mistakes I heard.

Great Read

Brother to the Boss (Managing the Bosses #8) was a good read by Lexy Timms. Mark and his brother Alex are building a powerful dynasty. Alex is behind corporate offices and tall sky scraper buildings. Mark is running an elite social an golf club. Alex finds himself wanting to be at home with Jamie and their kids more than wanting to run his billion dollar empire. But he realizes that no matter what he choses, one of the things he loves will suffer. Mark's country club is growing fast. A wedge is brought between the brother due to their competitive nature. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Did it again

I enjoyed this book. I thought once they got rid of Nicholas. Things would get better only have another trusted employee stab him in the back. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Brother to the Boss

Good Boss story. It is a fun story following their lives with Alex's brother. Ruby Rivers did a good job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Alex still has problems with a potential takeover. Mark gets info. That stops it.

Alex still wants to spend more time at home with Jaime and the twins. When one problem is solved and he's free to go home earlier, something points a finger at the man he planned to use to give him the free time. Now what's going on? Is this residual from the past mess or something new.

Great story with some recording issues.

There are often long pauses from chapter to chapter (which I got used to with this series). However, in this book there is often repeats of lines just read. It can throw off the flow of the story.
